Packers' Luke Musgrave: Lands on injured reserve
The Packers placed Musgrave (ankle) on injured reserve Friday.
During a media session Thursday, coach Matt LaFleur revealed that Musgrave "more than likely" would require an IR stint due to the ankle injury that has plagued him the last two weeks, per Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site. Now that the move is official, the team will lean on Tucker Kraft to continue handling a majority share of the TE snaps, while Ben Sims and John FitzPatrick, who was signed off the Falcons' practice squad this week, will be on hand for any reps that linger. LaFleur also told Hodkiewicz that there's hope Musgrave will return later in the season, which implies he may miss more than the required four games on IR during his recovery.

Packers' Luke Musgrave: Likely heading to IR
Coach Matt LaFleur said Thursday that Musgrave (ankle) "more than likely" will be placed on injured reserve, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.
Musgrave didn't practice at all last week due to an ankle injury, and while he was able to suit up this past Sunday at the Rams, he didn't see the field. He then managed a limited session to kick off Week 6 prep Wednesday, but the aforementioned health concern now will require some time to recover from. "He's been dealing with something and fighting through," LaFleur added. "He's gonna be down for some time." There's some "hope" that Musgrave will be able to return later this season, as LaFleur told Hodkiewicz. In the meantime, though, Tucker Kraft will continue to be Green Bay's No. 1 TE, with Ben Sims and newcomer John FitzPatrick filling in behind him.

Packers' Luke Musgrave: Limited in practice
Musgrave (ankle) was a limited practice participant Wednesday, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.
Musgrave was active for this past Sunday's 24-19 win over the Rams, but he didn't play any snaps while he contended with the ankle injury. Assuming he experiences no setbacks coming out of another week of practice, Musgrave should get some playing time this Sunday against the Cardinals, but he still looks destined to handle a minimal role behind top tight end Tucker Kraft, who has recorded 10 receptions for 141 yards and three touchdowns over the past two contests.

Packers' Luke Musgrave: No Week 5 snaps
Musgrave did not play a snap in Sunday's 24-19 victory over the Rams.
Musgrave suited up for Sunday's contest, but he did not practice at all last week due to an ankle injury, and he did not wind up stepping on the field. Even if he is fully healthy for Week 6, Musgrave will be behind Tucker Kraft in the pecking order at tight end.

Packers' Luke Musgrave: Available in Week 5
Musgrave (ankle) is listed as active Sunday at the Rams, Mike Spofford of the Packers' official site reports.
Musgrave focused on rehab of an ankle injury instead of practice during Week 5 prep, and it appears to have paid off for the second-year pro after testing out the issue pregame. According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, though, Musgrave will be limited compared to past weeks, likely meaning he'll be hard-pressed to approach his typical snap shares of 26-56 percent on the season. Tucker Kraft will handle most of the TE reps for the Packers on Sunday, but Ben Sims and perhaps even Andrew Beck will be tasked with filling in behind him.

Packers' Luke Musgrave: Will try to play Sunday
Musgrave, who is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Rams due to an ankle issue, will go through a pregame warmup with the hope of playing Week 5, but he'll be "limited at best" if he's active for the contest, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Musgrave has been managing an ankle injury all week and wasn't able to participate in any practice sessions. Though he's aiming to play at less than full health, the tight end is shaping as a game-time call ahead of the 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff, and his fantasy ceiling will be limited if he does suit up. As it is, Musgrave has logged over 50 percent of Green Bay's offensive snaps in only one contest this season and has just five receptions for 22 yards through four games.

Packers' Luke Musgrave: Questionable for Week 5
Musgrave (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's road contest against the Rams, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
According to Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site, Musgrave wasn't able to practice at all this week due to an ankle issue, but the team still is giving the second-year pro a chance to suit up Sunday. Musgrave's status will be clarified, one way or another, about 90 minutes before a 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff, but if he's able to suit up he likely will continue to take a back seat to Green Bay's No. 1 TE Tucker Kraft. Meanwhile, Ben Sims would stand to experience an uptick in snaps, at the very least, if Musgrave is inhibited or out.

Packers' Luke Musgrave: Idle for another practice
Musgrave (ankle) was a non-participant in Thursday's practice, Ryan Wood of USA Today reports.
Musgrave has now missed two straight practices with the ankle issue, so he'll likely need to take the field in at least a limited capacity Friday to have a shot at playing Sunday against the Rams. If Musgrave can't go this weekend, top tight end Tucker Kraft would likely take on an even greater share of the snaps, while Ben Sims would slide up a spot on the depth chart.

Packers' Luke Musgrave: Tending to ankle issue
Musgrave didn't practice Wednesday due to an ankle injury.
Musgrave logged a pair of limited sessions last week due to a quadricep injury before getting back to full participation Friday, which cleared him for Week 4 action. This time around, he skipped all drills to begin the week, suggesting that the current health concern is more serious. It's unclear if Musgrave may be in danger of sitting out Sunday at the Rams, but the next two days of practice likely will be key to determining his availability.

Packers' Luke Musgrave: Makes most of opportunities
Musgrave caught all three of his targets for 13 yards in Sunday's 31-29 loss to the Vikings.
Musgrave surpassed the two receptions and nine yards he managed over the first three weeks of the season, but his output and snap count (25) still paled in comparison to fellow tight end Tucker Kraft, who was on the field for 65 plays and racked up six receptions on nine targets for 53 yards and a score. The Packers could utilize more two-tight-end formations if Christian Watson (ankle) misses time, but Musgrave remains well behind Kraft when it comes to fantasy value.
