Steelers' Jonathan Ward: Getting another opportunity
Ward signed a reserve/future contract with the Steelers on Monday.
Ward initially joined Pittsburgh's practice squad at the end of August after not being able to make the 53-man roster out of training camp. The 27-year-old then shuttled between the active roster, practice squad, and free agency. He ultimately appeared in four regular-season games for the Steelers this season, finishing with five carries for 22 yards.

The Steelers signed Ward to the practice squad Friday.
Ward was signed to the Steelers' active roster Nov. 16, but he was waived by Pittsburgh on Wednesday after being a healthy scratch in each of the last three games. He'll stick around on the practice squad, though he's unlikely to be elevated to the active roster unless one of Najee Harris, Jaylen Warren or Cordarrelle Patterson miss time due to injury.

Ward appeared in four games for Pittsburgh earlier this season, rushing five times for 22 yards. Ward played primarily on special teams during his four games with Pittsburgh this season, though he did log five carries for 22 yards on offense.
