Bengals' Tanner Hudson: Elevated for Sunday
The Bengals elevated Hudson from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday.
Hudson was released by the Bengals in late August before returning to the team on the practice squad. The tight end was unable to make the original 53-man roster over Mike Gesicki, Drew Sample, Erick All or Jack Endries, but it appears the team would like him to suit up for Sunday's game alongside the other four options anyway.

Bengals' DJ Turner: Will play vs. Bucs
Turner (hamstring) does not carry an injury designation into Sunday's game versus Tampa Bay.
Turner was a limited participant at practice again Friday, but it looks like he'll be okay to suit up in Week 1 anyway. He projects for a huge role in Cincinnati's secondary in 2026, the final year of his rookie contract.

Bengals' Shemar Stewart: Doubtful for Sunday
Stewart (knee) is officially designated as doubtful for Sunday's game versus the Buccaneers, Charlie Goldsmith of the Dayton Daily News reports.
Stewart downgraded to limited practice participation Thursday after managing a full practice Wednesday, and it looks like he's trending towards sitting out Week 1. If he can't go, rookie second-rounder Cashius Howell could see an increased share of snaps on the edge.

Bengals' Tee Higgins: Logs another full practice
Higgins (heel) will play in Sunday's game against Tampa Bay after logging full practices Wednesday through Friday.
Ja'Marr Chase (knee) also is cleared to play, giving Joe Burrow plenty of firepower for the regular-season opener. Higgins seemed to stay healthy throughout spring and summer before missing a few practices with a heel contusion last week. He should be ready for his usual role come Sunday.

Bengals' Ja'Marr Chase: Good to go, no designation
Chase (knee) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against Tampa Bay.
Chase was a full practice participant Wednesday and Thursday before resting Friday, with the Bengals citing 'rest' rather than his knee as the reason for Friday's absence. He suffered a minor knee hyperextension Aug. 25 and returned to practice within two weeks. Chase should be ready for his usual role this Sunday against the Buccaneers.

Bengals' Shemar Stewart: Logs limited practice Thursday
Stewart (knee) was a limited participant at practice Thursday, Jay Morrison of SI.com reports.
Stewart practiced in full Wednesday, but it seems like he may have suffered a setback with his knee during the week. He'll probably end up carrying an injury designation into the weekend unless he can manage another full practice Friday.

Bengals' DJ Turner: Managing hamstring injury
Turner was limited in practice Thursday due to a hamstring issue, Jay Morrison of SI.com reports.
Turner wasn't listed on Cincinnati's practice report Wednesday, so he may have picked up the hamstring injury during practice. Bengals fans (and fantasy managers who roster any of Tampa Bay's passing-game pieces) may want to keep a keen eye on Friday's practice report and injury designations to get an idea of Turner's chance of suiting up Sunday. Should he not be able to play, Bucs QB Baker Mayfield, along with wideouts Emeka Egbuka and Chris Godwin, could get a bump in projected value.

Bengals' Shemar Stewart: Gets in full practice Wednesday
Stewart (knee) was a full participant at practice Wednesday.
Stewart hyperextended his knee late in July, but all signs are now pointing toward him suiting up in Week 1 versus the Buccaneers. He'll be looking to earn a larger share of snaps on the edge in his second season as a pro.

Bengals' Myles Murphy: Avoids injury report
Murphy (undisclosed) is not listed on the injury report ahead of Sunday's game against Tampa Bay.
Murphy was injured during training camp, but it appears he will be on the field for Week 1 against the Buccaneers, barring a setback. Murphy is coming off a productive 2025 campaign, appearing in 17 regular-season games, starting 10 of them, and accruing 52 total tackles and 5.5 sacks.

Bengals' Dax Hill: Not listed on injury report
Hill (hamstring) is not listed on the injury report ahead of Sunday's game versus Tampa Bay.
Hill battled a hamstring issue throughout the preseason, though his absence from Wednesday's injury report suggests he will be good to go for Week 1 versus the Buccaneers. The 2022 No. 31 overall pick appeared in all 17 regular-season games for the Bengals during the 2025 campaign, compiling 88 total tackles and one interception.

Bengals' Tee Higgins: Full-go Wednesday
Higgins (heel) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice, Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic reports.
The Bengals look to have their dynamic receiver tandem in position to play in the opener as Higgins and Ja'Marr Chase (knee) both practiced in full to begin the week. Higgins was slowed by a heel contusion earlier in September but is tracking towards being ready to begin the season. The Bengals will host the Buccaneers to kick off 2026.
