Browns' Joe Flacco: Moves back to practice squad
Flacco reverted to the Browns' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.
Flacco was serviceable in his Browns debut Sunday at the Rams, completing 23 of 44 passes for 254 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. He even had Cleveland in striking distance for a win, with the score sitting at 20-19 after he threw his second TD of the contest with 8:49 remaining in the fourth quarter. But Flacco's subsequent interception two minutes later opened the floodgates for L.A., and the final score eventually settled at 36-19 by game's end. Rookie quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson remains in the concussion protocol as of Monday, but even when he's cleared, the team may stick with Flacco under center considering his experience and the fact the Browns are in the postseason mix.

Browns' Dorian Thompson-Robinson: Remains in concussion protocol
Coach Kevin Stefanski said Monday that Thompson-Robinson remains in the concussion protocol, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Thompson-Robinson missed Week 13 while in the concussion protocol, and he will need to gain full clearance before returning to the lineup. As such, his status is still in question for Cleveland's matchup against Jacksonville in Week 14. If Thompson-Robinson can't return to full health before the Browns take on the Jaguars, Joe Flacco will likely draw another start, with PJ Walker also being an option.

Browns' David Njoku: Season-low receiving yards
Njoku caught two of six targets for 17 yards in Sunday's 36-19 loss to the Rams in Week 13.
Njoku's been a prominent target regardless of which quarterback is throwing the ball, but he couldn't spark any chemistry with Joe Flacco on Sunday. While a couple of his looks were in the red zone, the tight end was held to a season low in receiving yards, and the two catches were his fewest since Week 1. Njoku also watched backup Harrison Bryant (five catches and a TD) experience a production increase with Flacco under center. Cleveland's quarterback situation remains volatile heading into Week 14 against the Jaguars, and while Njoku is a top target -- third on the team with 84 -- the Browns' offense has produced just four touchdowns, including two for Bryant, over the last 12 quarters.

Browns' Dustin Hopkins: Misses extra point
Hopkins converted both of his field-goal attempts and one of two extra-point kicks in Sunday's 36-19 loss to the Rams in Week 13.
The missed extra point, which left Cleveland trailing 20-19 early in the fourth quarter, had the potential to loom large, but Los Angeles ripped off 16 straight points against what has been an elite NFL defense in 2023. The Browns' offense totaled minus-5 yards over its final three drives while the Rams blew the game open. Other than his second missed extra-point kick, Hopkins was his usual reliable self. The carousel of quarterbacks has resulted in an NFL-high 33 field-goal attempts for Hopkins, who's made multiple FGs in eight straight games. The 32-year-old placekicker leads all kickers with 30 field goals made and is second in points at 106.

Browns' James Proche: Special teams only in loss
Proche returned two punts for 30 yards and did not play on offense in Sunday's 36-19 loss to the Rams in Week 13.
By the end of the game, Proche was sitting fourth on the depth chart, but he never stepped on the field with the offense. Amari Cooper sustained a concussion in the second quarter and left the game, but head coach Kevin Stefanski opted to get by with a trio of Elijah Moore, Cedric Tillman and David Bell. Proche has played a total of nine snaps with the offense and been targeted once through nine games.

Browns' David Bell: Season-high snap count
Bell secured both of his targets for 12 yards in Sunday's 36-19 loss to the Rams in Week 13.
Bell played a season-high 28 snaps on offense, as the Browns lost Amari Cooper to a concussion during the second quarter. Bell's playing time and usage is dependent on Cooper's health heading into Week 14 at home against Jacksonville. Bell, a second-year wideout, has just six catches (11 targets) for 45 yards over 10 games.

Browns' Cedric Tillman: Snap leader at WR
Tillman caught two of six targets for 20 yards in Sunday's 36-19 loss to the Rams in Week 13.
Tillman led the team's wideouts with 66 snaps and had a season high in targets. The rookie has been a regular presence on the field the last five weeks but it's only been recently that the usage translated into targets; Tillman's seen 11 passes thrown his way the last two weeks. Top wide receiver Amari Cooper sustained a concussion Sunday, leaving Tillman, Elijah Moore and David Bell as the top three healthy wideouts.

Browns' Harrison Bryant: Finds end zone in Week 13 loss
Bryant caught all five of his targets for 49 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 36-19 loss to the Rams.
Joe Flacco leaned heavily on his tight ends in his first start of the season, but surprisingly it was Bryant who the veteran QB showed the most chemistry with and not David Njoku, who caught only two of six targets for 17 yards. Bryant set new season highs in catches, yards and targets Sunday and has found the end zone in back-to-back games. If Flacco gets another start in Week 14 against the Jaguars, the fourth-year TE will be an intriguing fantasy option.

Browns' Elijah Moore: Leading receiver against Rams
Moore caught four of 12 targets for 83 yards in Sunday's 36-19 loss to the Rams.
The third-year wideout emerged as Joe Flacco's favorite target after Amari Cooper (concussion) left the game in the second quarter. He and Flacco have a brief history together when the two played for the Jets in 2021 and 2022. While Moore wasn't efficient with his looks, he still set a new season high in receiving yards. There's no guarantee Flacco gets another start if Dorian Thompson-Robinson (concussion) clears the league's protocol ahead of a Week 14 meeting with the Jaguars, nor that Cooper will remain sidelined. While Moore's performance was somewhat encouraging, he remains a very volatile fantasy option.

Browns' Kareem Hunt: Leading rusher in loss
Hunt carried the ball 12 times for 48 yards and caught his only target for zero yards in Sunday's 36-19 loss to the Rams.
The 28-year-old back actually led the Browns in carries and rushing yards, but Jerome Ford made the biggest impact with a receiving touchdown in the first quarter. Hunt has seen double-digit touches in seven of the last eight games while working in a timeshare with Ford, but he hasn't reached 50 scrimmage yards in five straight, leaving him a TD-dependent fantasy option heading into a Week 14 clash with the Jaguars.

Browns' Jerome Ford: Finds end zone in Week 13 loss
Ford carried the ball nine times for 19 yards and caught all three of his targets for 33 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 36-19 loss to the Rams.
He and Kareem Hunt essentially switched roles in this one, as Hunt led the Browns with 12 carries but it was Ford who made an impact through the air. How much of that usage was due to Joe Flacco being under center rather than rookie Dorian Thompson-Robinson (concussion) isn't yet clear, but the backfield duo figures to remain in some sort of timeshare heading into a Week 14 clash with the Jaguars' stout run defense.

Browns' Joe Flacco: Solid numbers in 2023 debut
Flacco completed 23 of 44 passes for 254 yards and two touchdowns with one interception in Sunday's 36-19 loss to the Rams.
Seeing his first game action since Week 18 of last season, Flacco provided the Browns with some stability at quarterback as he tossed a 24-yard TD to Jerome Ford in the first quarter and an eight-yard score to Harrison Bryant in the fourth. The 38-year-old QB played well enough to potentially stick around on the roster, but per Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram, coach Kevin Stefanski declined to name a starter for a Week 14 clash with the Jaguars, suggesting that rookie Dorian Thompson-Robinson (concussion) is still in the mix if he clears the league's protocol before next Sunday.

Browns' Amari Cooper: Coach confirms concussion
Coach Kevin Stefanski said after Sunday's 36-19 loss to the Rams that Cooper suffered a concussion during the game, Jake Trotter of ESPN.com reports.
Cooper was evaluated for a concussion after exiting with a head injury in the second quarter, and Stefanski revealed that those tests confirmed a concussion for the wide receiver. Prior to exiting, Cooper caught three of five targets for 34 yards. He'll have to clear the NFL's five-step concussion protocol in order to suit up in Week 14 against the Jaguars.

Browns' Amari Cooper: Ruled out of Sunday's game
Cooper won't return to Sunday's game at the Rams due to a head injury, Jake Trotter of ESPN.com reports.
Cooper had a concussion check in the second quarter, and he seemingly was diagnosed with one and will be unavailable to the Browns offense after halftime. He'll thus end Week 13 with three catches (on five targets) for 34 yards. With Marquise Goodwin (concussion) inactive, the Browns' available wide receivers now are Elijah Moore, Cedric Tillman, David Bell and James Proche.
