Cowboys' Trevon Diggs: In line to play Sunday
Diggs (ankle) is listed as questionable but is expected to play in Sunday's game against Pittsburgh, NFL reporter Jordan Schultz reports.
Diggs popped up on the injury report with an ankle issue Thursday and didn't practice Friday. He was deemed questionable heading into the weekend, but he looks like he'll be able to suit up against the Steelers. Official word on Diggs' status will arrive when the Cowboys release their inactive list approximately 90 minutes prior to Sunday's 8:20 p.m. ET kickoff.

Cowboys' Brandin Cooks: Shifts to IR
Cooks (knee) was placed on injured reserve Saturday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
While Cooks' right knee operation earlier this week seemingly came out of nowhere, Saturday's designation is hardly surprising considering the severity of the aforementioned event. Expect Jalen Tolbert to step into a prominent role opposite CeeDee Lamb as a featured pass catcher, with tight end Jake Ferguson also in the mix as a significant target.

Cowboys' Caelen Carson: Iffy for Week 5
Carson (shoulder) is questionable to face Pittsburgh on Sunday, Ralph Vacchiano of Fox Sports reports.
Carson sat out Week 4 versus the Giants and logged a trio of limited practices during Week 5 prep, putting his status up in the air for Sunday. Trevon Diggs is also questionable for that contest, so Dallas' secondary could be without two starters. If that's the case, Andrew Booth and C.J. Goodwin could be asked to step up.

Cowboys' Trevon Diggs: Deemed questionable for Week 5
Diggs (ankle) is questionable to face the Steelers on Sunday, Ralph Vacchiano of Fox Sports reports.
Diggs practiced in full Wednesday but appeared on the injury report as a limited participant Thursday. He was then held out of practice entirely Friday, putting his status for Sunday's contest in doubt. If Diggs isn't able to suit up this weekend, Andrew Booth likely will be asked to step into a starting role.

Cowboys' Micah Parsons: Ruled out for Week 5
Parsons (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game versus Pittsburgh, Ralph Vacchiano of Fox Sports reports.
Parsons suffered a high-ankle sprain last Thursday against the Giants and didn't practice at all this week. He's been deemed week-to-week by the Cowboys, and the team has thus far resisted putting him on injured reserve. Marshawn Kneeland may be asked to take over as a starter in Parsons' place.

Cowboys' Ezekiel Elliott: Cleared from injury report
Elliott doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game at Pittsburgh, Ralph Vacchiano of Fox Sports reports.
Elliott was added to the injury report Thursday, with his limited participation chalked up to dehydration. He unsurprisingly returned to full participation a day later and now will suit up against the Steelers, likely in a secondary role behind Rico Dowdle. Elliott played less than 20 percent of snaps on offense the past two weeks, averaging 4.0 carries for 17.5 yards and 1.0 catch for 5.5 yards.
