  • Broncos' Russell Wilson: Three turnovers in loss

Wilson completed 15 of 26 passes for 186 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions in Sunday's 22-17 loss to the Texans. He added 10 rushes for 44 yards and an additional score.

Wilson performed admirably for much of the game and led a comeback effort for the Broncos with a 45-yard touchdown pass to Courtland Sutton as well a score of his own on a quarterback sneak. However, he undid all of that work with three interceptions in the final 16 minutes of game time, including one that sealed the loss from the Texans' eight-yard line with only 16 seconds remaining. Wilson entered the game having not thrown an interception since Week 6. He also has only one passing touchdown in three consecutive games.

  • Broncos' Jerry Jeudy: Tallies 51 yards

Jeudy recorded three receptions on four targets for 51 yards in Sunday's 22-17 loss to the Texans.

Russell Wilson took to the air only 26 times, limiting opportunities for all of Denver's pass catchers. Jeudy finished second on the team in targets and yards, and the highlight of his day came on a 41-yard gain early in the fourth quarter that set up a touchdown on the next play. Jeudy has topped 65 yards just once this season, though he does have at least 50 in four of his last six games.

  • Broncos' Javonte Williams: Held to 70 total yards

Williams rushed the ball 13 times for 46 yards in Sunday's 22-17 loss to the Texans. He added three catches on three targets for 24 yards.

Williams maintained the clear lead-back role, though he still fell short of 20 touches for the second time in his last five games. He was inefficient with his opportunity and was limited to under four yards per carry for the fifth consecutive contest. While it's positive that Williams has multiple catches in every game in that span, he's shown to be an unexplosive rusher in a mediocre offense, making him difficult to trust on a weekly basis.

  • Broncos' Courtland Sutton: Scores ninth touchdown

Sutton recorded two receptions on seven targets for 77 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 22-17 loss to the Texans.

Sutton led the Broncos in targets but spent much of the game squandering his opportunity. That changed late in the third quarter when he made an acrobatic 45-yard touchdown grab, just reaching the front pylon as he was touched down. Sutton has now found the end zone nine times on the campaign -- including six times in his last seven games -- even though he's topped 75 receiving yards only three times this season.

The backup tight end does not have a catch yet in the game. Manhertz has two catches for 16 yards and no touchdowns in 2023.

  • Broncos' Patrick Surtain: Back on field

Surtain (knee) has returned to Sunday's game against the Texans, Nick Kosmider of The Athletic reports.

Surtain had trouble walking off the field and made a trip to the blue medical tent before testing his knee on the sidelines. Ultimately, the Alabama product felt he could return to the game and has done so, which is good news for the Broncos secondary.

  • Broncos' Nate Adkins: Healthy scratch for Week 13

Adkins (coach's decision) is inactive ahead of Sunday's game against the Texans.

The 24-year-old tight end appeared in each of Denver's last two games, but it now seems as if he's fallen down the depth chart. The Broncos elevated Lucas Krull to their active roster Saturday, and with Adkins inactive, Krull will likely serve as the team's No. 3 tight end in Week 13. Adkins has appeared in eight games for Denver this season, catching four of his five targets for 22 yards and primarily playing on special teams.

  • Broncos' Damarri Mathis: Available Sunday

Mathis (back) is active ahead of Sunday's game against the Texans.

Mathis popped up on Denver's injury report Thursday with a back issue, and even after a DNP at Friday's practice, the 24-year-old cornerback is suiting up for Sunday's affair. Expect Mathis to continue playing as a rotational cornerback in the Broncos' secondary in Week 13.

  • Broncos' Ben DiNucci: Inactive Sunday

DiNucci (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Texans.

DiNucci was elevated from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday, sparking speculation that Russell Wilson and/or Jarrett Stidham were dealing with injuries. However, that doesn't appear to be the case, so DiNucci has been made inactive.
