  • Chargers' Khalil Mack: Yet another multi-sack performance

Mack recorded five tackles (five solo) including two sacks and a forced fumble in Sunday's 6-0 win at New England.

Mack managed to post two sacks for the fourth time in his last five games in Week 13, bringing his season total up to 15.0 (which ties his career high from 2015 with the Raiders). He's the league leader in sacks heading into a Week 14 matchup versus the Broncos.

  • Chargers' Derwin James: Gets first sack of 2023

James recorded nine tackles (seven solo) including a sack in Sunday's 6-0 win at New England.

James tallied seven-plus tackles for the fourth time in his last five games in Week 13, and he also registered in the sack column for the first time since Week 11 of 2022. He's on pace for his third straight 100-tackle season and projects as a strong IDP play for Week 14 versus the Broncos.

  • Chargers' Eric Kendricks: Huge production at New England

Kendricks recorded 10 tackles (six solo), including a sack, in Sunday's 6-0 win at New England.

Kendricks was the Chargers' leading tackler in a shutout victory, and he also logged his first sack of the season in Week 13. He's had seven-plus tackles in all of his last three games and is on pace for his eighth consecutive year with 100-plus tackles. He's a strong IDP option for Week 14 when the Chargers host the Broncos.

  • Chargers' Gerald Everett: Reliable target in win

Everett snared four of his five targets for 44 yards in Sunday's 6-0 win over the Patriots.

Everett's 26-yard catch and run in the first quarter was the third-longest reception by either side in a game mucked down by miserable rainy conditions. The veteran has been a reliable safety valve for quarterback Justin Herbert all season, as he has at least three receptions in all but four games to date; however, he's hasn't managed to eclipse 50 yards to this point.

  • Chargers' Quentin Johnston: Solid outing despite bad weather

Johnston caught five of his seven targets for 52 yards in the 6-0 win over the Patriots on Sunday.

It's a low benchmark, but after struggling for most of the season, Sunday's outing was easily the best of the rookie's career, especially given the sloppy conditions. Keenan Allen predictably led the team in targets (nine), but it was encouraging to see Johnston get involved to the extent that he did, as no other wide receiver saw more than three targets on the afternoon. It's too early to say the 22-year-old has turned the corner, but given the Chargers' desperate need for a second reliable pass catcher, Johnston will be afforded every opportunity to overcome his rookie woes.

  • Chargers' Keenan Allen: Paces passing attack once again

Allen caught five of his nine targets for 58 yards in the 6-0 win over the Patriots on Sunday.

Allen didn't seem to show any lingering issues from the quadriceps injury that kept him out of practice Wednesday and Thursday, but the rainy and slippery conditions also seemed to dampen Los Angeles' offense overall. With five games still to go, the 11-year veteran should easily surpass his career high in receptions (106) and could also be poised to set career-high marks in receiving yards (1,393), touchdowns (eight) and targets (159).

  • Chargers' Austin Ekeler: Completely held in check

Ekeler carried the ball 14 times for 18 yards and caught two of his three targets for nine yards in Sunday's 6-0 win over the Patriots.

Given the Patriots offense rarely managed to pose much of a threat, Ekeler and the rest of the Chargers attack was essentially tasked with not making a mistake that could give way to easy points the other way. The end result was one of Ekeler's more futile fantasy outings in his entire career, but the rainy, murky conditions certainly played a part in his ineffectiveness. The dynamic dual threat has struggled on the ground this season, but it could get easier next week against a Broncos defense that has been vulnerable to running backs all season.

  • Chargers' Justin Herbert: Not tasked with too much

Herbert completed 22 of his 37 attempts for 212 yards in Sunday's 6-0 win over the Patriots. He also netted minus-5 yards on four carries.

The score tells the whole story in this one. Facing an opposing offense incapable of getting past the 50-yard line and miserable weather conditions all afternoon, Herbert and the Chargers offense were content just avoiding any mistakes. The result is a second consecutive week with a yards-per-attempt figure below 6.0, and Sunday marked just the second time all season the Pro Bowl quarterback failed to toss a touchdown. It might not get much better in Week 14, when the improving Broncos defense travels to Los Angeles.

  • Chargers' Simi Fehoko: Healthy scratch in Week 13

Fehoko (coach's decision) is inactive ahead of Sunday's game against the Patriots.

The 26-year-old wideout seems to have fallen down Los Angeles' depth chart, as the team signed Alex Erickson to its active roster Saturday, and he'll suit up over Fehoko in Week 13. Fehoko has appeared in six games for the Chargers this season, catching one of his two targets for nine yards and one touchdown.
