Rams' Kevin Dotson: HC optimistic for divisional round
Head coach Sean McVay said Monday that he's "optimistic" regarding Dotson's potential availability for Sunday's NFC divisional round game against the Bears, Adam Grosbard of the LA Daily News reports.
Dotson hasn't played since injuring his ankle in Week 16 against the Seahawks, but McVay believes the starting right guard has a good chance to rejoin the action in the NFC divisional round. It remains to be seen if Dotson's practice participation level leading up to Sunday's game in Chicago supports McVay's optimism. If Dotson returns, Justin Dedich would likely be bumped back down to a reserve role.

Rams' Ahkello Witherspoon: Will go on IR due to shoulder
Witherspoon (shoulder) will be placed on injured reserve, head coach Sean McVay relayed Monday, Greg Beacham of The Associated Press reports.
Witherspoon aggravated his scapula injury during the Rams' 34-31 win over the Panthers in the wild-card round. The cornerback will miss the remainder of the Rams' postseason run due to the injury and is set to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason ahead of his age-31 campaign. Witherspoon had eight tackles (six solo) and one interception among his two passes defensed in six regular-season games and added one solo tackle prior to his departure from Saturday's playoff win.

Rams' Matthew Stafford: Will play through finger sprain
Rams head coach Sean McVay said Monday that Stafford is managing a sprain on the index finger of his throwing hand, but there are no concerns about his status for Sunday's divisional-round matchup against the Bears, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports.
Stafford didn't end up missing any snaps after injuring his right index finger during Saturday's 34-31 wild-card win over the Panthers, in which he completed 24 of 42 passes for 304 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. McVay has already confirmed that the 2025 first-team All-Pro quarterback will be good to go for a road matchup against Chicago, but Stafford's practice reps could be capped this week.

Rams' Tyler Higbee: Hauls in long catch vs. Carolina
Higbee caught two passes (on three targets) for 45 yards during the Rams' 34-31 win over the Panthers during Saturday's NFC wild-card game.
Higbee brought in a 36-yard pass from Matthew Stafford midway through the second quarter to put the Rams in Panthers territory, leading to a 46-yard field goal from Harrison Mevis four plays later. Higbee played 39 of 76 offensive snaps (51.3 percent), which was second most among Rams tight ends behind Colby Parkinson (57 snaps), and the former finished third on the team in receiving yards behind Puka Nacua (111) and Davante Adams (72). Terrance Ferguson was inactive for the wild-card round due to a hamstring injury, so Higbee and Parkinson would operate as the Rams' top tight ends for the divisional round if Ferguson is not cleared to play.

Rams' Matthew Stafford: Avoids dislocated finger in win
Stafford suffered an injury to a finger on his throwing hand during Saturday's 34-31 wild-card win over the Panthers, but he's believed to have avoided a dislocation after X-rays returned negative, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Stafford appeared to jam his finger in the first half of Saturday's contest, and though he didn't end up missing any snaps, the injury may have affected the accuracy and velocity of his throws early on in the second half. The newly minted first-team All-Pro selection didn't seem to be compromised in the fourth quarter, however, as he tossed a pair of go-ahead touchdowns in the final 15 minutes to help the Rams seal the win. Stafford could require further treatment for the finger during the upcoming week, but he doesn't appear to be at any real risk of missing the Rams' divisional-round matchup next weekend against a yet-to-be-determined opponent.
