Marchand scored a power-play goal and added an even-strength assist in Saturday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Canadiens. His tally midway through the third period forced the extra frame, but Boston couldn't find a winner. Marchand has found the scoresheet in three straight games and six of the last seven. The 35-year-old winger has piled up seven goals and 15 points through the first 14 games of 2023-24, with two tallies and four helpers coming on the power play.... See More ... See Less

Bruins' Brad Marchand: Will discipline be in future?
Per Sportsnet, there's a chance Marchand could face discipline after an unpenalized play involving Toronto's Timothy Liljegren in the first period of Thursday's 3-2 shootout win over Toronto. There was no penalty on the ice when Marchand put his stick between Liljegren's legs and can openered him close to the end boards. The defender went awkwardly feet first into the boards and was injured, and after the game, coach Sheldon Keefe said the injury is long term. Player Safety may take a look at the play given the captain's history/rap sheet.... See More ... See Less -

The 35-year-old Marchand has four goals and three assists to open the season, serving as one of the Bruins' leaders on offense. He's added 15 shots on net, six hits, four blocked shots, eight PIM and a plus-4 rating. Over the last couple of games, Marchand has been on a line with David Pastrnak and Pavel Zacha, further amplifying his ability to generate offense.... See More ... See Less -

Bruins' Brad Marchand: Four helpers not enough Friday
Marchand racked up four assists, three on the power play, in Friday's 7-5 loss to the Panthers in Game 6 of the Bruins' first-round series. The veteran winger did everything he could to get Boston through to the second round. Marchand had a hand in each of the Bruins' first four goals of the night as they took a 4-3 lead early in the third period, but the win slipped through their grasp in an absolutely wild final 20 minutes. Marchand has found the scoresheet in every game so far to begin the playoffs, collecting four goals and 10 points in six contests, but he may need to come through with another big performance Sunday in Game 7 to make sure what has been a historic season for Boston doesn't come to a shockingly early conclusion....
