Rangers' Jonathan Quick: Rough outing in defeat
Quick conceded six goals on 21 shots in Sunday's 7-5 loss to the Kraken. The seventh goal was an empty-netter.
After starting the campaign with a 4-0-0 record in his first five appearances, Quick has lost two of his last three outings. The veteran netminder has conceded 15 goals during that stretch -- the 38-year-old allowed just four goals over his first five contests of the season. If Igor Shesterkin (personal) is not available for Monday's game against the Blackhawks, Quick could have the chance to rebound in the second half of a back-to-back. Dylan Garand, who was recalled from AHL Hartford on Sunday, might be an option for Monday's game as well.

Rangers' Jonathan Quick: Helps Rangers break skid
Quick stopped 25 of 28 shots in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Canadiens.
Quick, aided by New York's three power-play goals, helped the Rangers snap a five-game losing streak. It was Quick's 398th career victory, who rebounded from a 6-2 shellacking by Edmonton on Nov. 23. Other than that stinker, he's been excellent between the pipes, including a pair of shutouts. The 38-year-old netminder has a 2.03 goals-against average and a .936 save percentage in seven outings (six starts). The Rangers next play Monday at home against New Jersey.

Rangers' Jonathan Quick: First stinker of season
Quick stopped 34 of 40 shots in Saturday's 6-2 loss to the Oilers.
Quick had allowed just four goals over his first five appearances of the season, so this was a brutal correction of his extremely good fortune. The Oilers tallied twice in each period and looked nothing like the downtrodden team that has ambled to an 11-9-2 start to 2024-25. Quick is now 4-1-0 with a 1.85 GAA and a .943 save percentage through six outings. The 38-year-old has been scratching away at Igor Shesterkin's playing time recently, but the Rangers' No. 1 should have a chance to regain a hefty share of starts after Quick's stumble Saturday. The Rangers' next game is Monday at home versus the Blues.

Quick made 32 saves in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Ducks.

Quick allowed two goals, including one on the power play, on 31 shots in Thursday's 5-2 win over the Red Wings.
The 38-year-old gave up goals in the second and third periods, but the Rangers weren't down at any point of the contest, and Quick breezed to an easy win in his first outing of 2024-25. He should return to his backup role behind Igor Shesterkin, with the Russian expected to return between the sticks for Saturday's game at Toronto after a much-needed rest. Quick posted an 18-6-2 record with a 2.62 GAA as a backup across 27 regular-season contests for New York in 2023-24.

Quick stopped 31 of 34 shots in Friday's 4-3 win over the Red Wings.
The game was back and forth all night but Quick was able to kick aside the final 13 shots sent his way for the win. He finished the contest with a .912 save percentage. As the backup to Igor Shesterkin, Quick has seen limited playing time, starting only four games in the month of March and one in April with all of them being wins.
