  • Stars' Matt Duchene: Six-game, 12-point streak

Duchene had a goal and an assist Saturday in a 4-2 loss to Florida at the NHL Global Series in Finland. He has a team-best seven tallies this season. Duchene has three consecutive two-point efforts, and he's riding a six-game point streak (six goals, six assists). The 33-year-old forward is off to perhaps his best-ever start while leading the Stars in scoring by a wide margin. Logan Stankoven sits second with 10. Duchene's 35.0 shooting percentage suggests his goal-scoring will cool eventually. Fantasy managers may want to check the trade market for him to sell high on his tremendous start.

  • Stars' Matt Duchene: Facilitates two goals in loss

Duchene provided two even-strength assists in Friday's 6-4 loss to the Panthers. Duchene compiled three shots, one block, one takeaway and a plus-1 rating in 17:46 of ice time. The left-shot center is currently on fire -- he's racked up five goals and five assists across his five-game point streak. Furthermore, Duchene has generated multi-point performances in all but one game during that span. The Ontario native has been held off the scoresheet just twice through 10 contests, and he leads the Stars in points with six goals and seven assists.

  • Stars' Matt Duchene: Extends streak with brace

Duchene recorded two goals, including one in the power play, in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Blackhawks. The second goal was an empty-netter with 18 seconds left in the third period. Duchene has been on a tear in recent games, notching five goals over his last four appearances while recording three multi-point games in that span. The 33-year-old veteran should continue to find plenty of opportunities to produce as a top-six forward in one of the best offensive units in the Western Conference. Through nine games, Duchene has already racked up 11 points.

  • Stars' Matt Duchene: Three-point effort in win

Duchene scored an even-strength goal and added two power-play assists in Thursday's 5-2 win over the Bruins. The Stars dominated on special teams, scoring three straight goals with the man advantage in the first nine minutes of the second period to secure the victory. Duchene has found the scoresheet in six of Dallas' first eight games this season, piling up four goals and nine points along the way -- including a goal and four points on the power play.

  • Stars' Matt Duchene: Pots two goals including winner

Duchene scored two goals, one on the power play and the other the game-winner, in Saturday's 4-1 victory over the Oilers. The veteran center opened the scoring with only 26 seconds left in the second period, ripping a puck past Stuart Skinner from the top of the slot. Duchene then gave the Stars a 2-0 lead midway through the third by finishing a 2-on-1 rush with Mason Marchment. Duchene has had a strong start to the season, collecting three goals and five points in six games.

  • Stars' Matt Duchene: Pots goal in Tuesday's win

Duchene scored a goal on three shots and added two PIM in Tuesday's 3-2 shootout win over the Sharks. Duchene's first goal of the season tied this game at 1-1. This was also the first time in four contests that the center has registered more than one shot on net. He has three points, six shots, four hits and a plus-1 rating this season while centering the Stars' second line.

  • Stars' Matt Duchene: Sets up opening goal Saturday

Duchene notched an assist in Saturday's 3-0 win over the Islanders. The Stars found the back of the net once in each period, and Duchene's assist on Tyler Seguin's game-opening goal gave the former helpers in back-to-back contests to open the 2024-25 campaign. Duchene finished the 2023-24 season with 65 points across 80 regular-season contests and is expected to center the second line in 2024-25, often skating alongside Seguin and Mason Marchment.

  • Stars' Matt Duchene: Offers power-play assist

Duchene notched a power-play assist in Thursday's 4-3 win over the Predators. Duchene set up the first of Mason Marchment's two goals in the game. That duo, along with linemate Tyler Seguin, often found success in bunches last year while playing on the second line. They began 2024-25 together as well, which is good news for Duchene's production. He put up 65 points in 80 regular-season contests last season and should push for similar numbers despite being limited to the second power-play unit this year.

  • Stars' Matt Duchene: Inks one-year contract

Duchene signed a one-year, $3 million contract with the Stars on Monday. Duchene had 25 goals and 65 points in 80 regular-season appearances with Dallas in 2023-24. Given how well he did last year, the fact that he agreed to an identical deal to the one-year, $3 million contract he signed last year is surprising, but great news for Dallas. Duchene should continue to put up strong numbers while serving in a middle-six capacity.

  • Stars' Matt Duchene: Clinches series win

Duchene scored the game-winning goal in Friday's 2-1 double-overtime win over the Avalanche in Game 6. Duchene was called for goaltender interference on a potential game-winner in the first overtime. That didn't dissuade him from sticking near the net, and he converted 11:42 into the second extra session after the puck popped loose from a scrum in front of the net. Through 13 playoff contests, Duchene has two goals, six points, 18 shots on net, 16 hits, 13 blocked shots and a plus-2 rating. He is filling in on a line with Jason Robertson and Joe Pavelski while Roope Hintz (upper body) recovers from an upper-body injury.

  • Stars' Matt Duchene: Adds helper

Duchene logged an assist in Wednesday's 5-3 loss to the Avalanche in Game 5. Duchene has managed three helpers over five games in the second round, but his goal drought is up to seven contests. The 33-year-old center got the bump up to the top line, replacing Roope Hintz (upper body) in that spot as head coach Pete DeBoer elected to keep Wyatt Johnston alongside Jamie Benn. Duchene has a modest five points with 14 shots on net, 14 hits, 12 blocked shots and a plus-1 rating through 12 playoff outings.

  • Stars' Matt Duchene: Garners assist in win

Duchene notched an assist, three hits and two PIM in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Avalanche in Game 3. Duchene has gone five games without a goal. Through 10 playoff contests, he has one tally, three assists, 13 shots on net, 11 hits, eight blocked shots and a plus-1 rating. With linemate Tyler Seguin scoring twice and looking more like himself in Saturday's victory following a late-season injury, Duchene's offense could get a boost.

  • Stars' Matt Duchene: Helps out on power play

Duchene recorded a power-play assist, three shots on goal and four blocked shots in Monday's 4-2 win over the Golden Knights in Game 4. The helper was Duchene's first point in four playoff outings. The center has added seven shots on net over the last two games, showing more promise flanked by Jamie Benn and Logan Stankoven following the Stars' lineup shuffle for Game 3. Duchene had 65 points, 172 shots on net and a plus-15 rating over 80 regular-season appearances, so getting his offense going could help the Stars build on their momentum late in this first-round series versus Vegas.

  • Stars' Matt Duchene: Registers helper in win

Duchene notched an assist and three shots on goal in Wednesday's 2-1 shootout win over the Blues. Duchene's offense faltered over the final quarter of the campaign, as he managed just nine points across the final 20 contests. The 33-year-old had been consistent earlier in the year, but he clearly felt the impact of Tyler Seguin missing time with a lower-body injury. Duchene concludes the regular season with 25 goals, 65 points, 172 shots on net, 48 blocked shots and a plus-15 rating over 80 appearances in a second-line role.

  • Stars' Matt Duchene: Snaps slump with two points

Duchene scored a goal on three shots and added a power-play assist in Sunday's 7-4 win over the Avalanche. Duchene got the Stars on the board late in the first period and also set up a Tyler Seguin marker in the second. This outing snapped a five-game slump for Duchene, who hasn't fully regained his scoring touch since Seguin returned from a lower-body injury. Duchene has still enjoyed a strong campaign with 25 goals, 64 points, 165 shots on net and a plus-16 rating through 76 appearances in a second-line role.

  • Stars' Matt Duchene: Explodes for three points

Duchene found the back of the net and added two helpers in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Coyotes. Duchene scored an empty-net goal with 1:30 left in the game to seal the win for the Stars. He also added two assists, three shots on net, a blocked shot and a plus-3 rating in 15:43 of ice time. The 33-year old center had not produced a mutli-point game since Feb. 17. With only six points in the month of March, it is hard to start Duchene as fantasy managers head into the playoffs.

  • Stars' Matt Duchene: Picks up assist

Duchene notched an assist in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Coyotes. Duchene has just three helpers over eight games in March. The good news is Tyler Seguin returned Wednesday, giving Duchene his preferred right wing for the first time in a month. Those two, along with Mason Marchment, were a force for a large chunk of the season and should be able to drive offense with the Stars competing for the top of the Central Division. Duchene is at 59 points, 149 shots on net, 41 blocked shots and a plus-14 rating through 68 appearances.

  • Stars' Matt Duchene: Adds power-play helper Saturday

Duchene notched a power-play assist and five shots on goal in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Kings. Duchene set up a Wyatt Johnston tally in the third period. The helper was Duchene's second in as many games, perhaps a sign that he's emerging from the slump that limited him to one goal and no assists over eight contests. The 33-year-old center has 58 points, 140 shots on net, 40 blocked shots and a plus-14 rating over 64 appearances in a second-line role this season.

  • Stars' Matt Duchene: Snags power-play helper

Duchene posted a power-play assist and four shots on goal in Friday's 6-2 win over the Ducks. Duchene entered Friday with just one goal over his last eight games. The 33-year-old has slumped without Tyler Seguin (lower body) in the lineup, as the Stars have relied on their first and third lines more than the second line Duchene centers. Despite the slump, Duchene has a still-impressive 57 points (14 on the power play), 135 shots on net, 40 blocked shots and a plus-14 rating through 63 appearances this season.

  • Stars' Matt Duchene: Earns 800th career point

Duchene scored a power-play goal in Monday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Islanders. Duchene had gone three games without a point entering Monday, his longest drought since late December. The goal was the 33-year-old's 800th career point, a mark he achieved in his 1,034th game. This season has been a resurgent one for Duchene, who is up to 23 tallies, 56 points, 120 shots on net and a plus-16 rating through 58 appearances. He's virtually mirroring his scoring production from last year with a quarter of the campaign to go, though it'll be interesting to see how Duchene adapts while Tyler Seguin (lower body) is out.
