Binnington will defend the road crease Tuesday against the Wild, Jessi Pierce of NHL.com reports. Binnington was sharp in his last start Sunday against the Blackhawks, turning aside 32 of 34 shots en route to a 4-2 victory. He'll try to secure his seventh win of the season in a highly favorable road matchup with a free-falling Minnesota team that's lost seven straight games, leading to the firing of head coach Dean Evason on Monday.... Blues' Jordan Binnington: Bounces back with sixth win
Binnington made 32 saves in Sunday's 4-2 win over Chicago. The Blues never trailed on the afternoon, as Binnington provided some stability between the pipes after coach Craig Berube had given his starter the hook in two straight games. The volatile goalie had coughed up 14 goals on 64 shots over his prior three appearances for a brutal .781 save percentage, but he's given up two goals or fewer in each of his last three wins. On the season, Binnington has a 6-5-1 record with a 2.89 GAA and .909 save percentage.... See More ... See Less -
Blues' Jordan Binnington: Starting in Chicago
Binnington will defend the road net Sunday against Chicago. Binnington has surrendered 15 goals on 78 shots in his past four outings, including two relief appearances. Through 14 appearances this season, he has posted a 5-5-1 record with a 2.96 GAA and a .906 save percentage. The Blackhawks rank 29th in the league with 2.61 goals per contest this campaign.... Blues' Jordan Binnington: Hammered in relief
Binnington surrendered four goals on 20 shots in relief of Joel Hofer in an 8-3 loss to the Predators on Friday. Yikes. The Blues started okay, but they froze at about the six-minute mark of the first and were never able to thaw their game. Neither Binnington, who entered the game in the second frame, or Hofer can be blamed for the outcome.... See More ... See Less -
Blues' Jordan Binnington: Yanked early after struggles
Binnington allowed five goals on 13 shots in Wednesday's 6-5 win against the Coyotes. Binnington had a dismal .615 save percentage through 28 minutes before getting the hook. He exited the game with his team down just 5-4 after a goal to Nick Schmaltz. Joel Hofer took over, stopping all 12 of the shots he faced, and he was backed by two unanswered goals for the 6-5 win. It wouldn't be shocking to see Hofer rewarded with a start on Friday against the visiting Predators.... See More ... See Less -
Blues' Jordan Binnington: Set to play Wednesday
Binnington is slated to tend the twine on the road versus Arizona on Wednesday. Binnington will be looking to rebound after giving up five goals on 31 shots (.839 save percentage) to the Kings on Saturday. It's the second time this season the Ontario native has conceded five goals in a game, but he's still sporting a strong 2.47 GAA and .922 save percentage on the year.... See More ... See Less -
Blues' Jordan Binnington: Struggles early in loss
Binnington allowed five goals on 31 shots in Saturday's 5-1 loss to the Kings. It's a little surprising Binnington wasn't pulled after giving up four goals in the first 15:20 of the game -- it may be a sign Joel Hofer is expected to start Sunday in Anaheim. Binnington settled down for the most part over the rest of the game, but the Blues' offense couldn't get on the board until late in the third period. The 30-year-old netminder took his first loss since Nov. 7, dropping him to 5-5-1 with a 2.47 GAA and a .922 save percentage over 12 contests. If Hofer gets Sunday's start, expect Binnington back between the pipes Wednesday in Arizona.... See More ... See Less -
Blues' Jordan Binnington: Slated to face Kings
Binnington is expected to guard the road net Saturday versus LA, Matthew DeFranks of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports. Binnington is 2-0-0 with a 1.15 GAA and a .963 save percentage over his last three contests. That's a particularly good stretch, but he's also having a strong campaign overall with a 2.24 GAA and a .930 save percentage through 11 outings. Still, he has a mediocre 5-4-1 record, partially due to underwhelming offensive support. Scoring hasn't been an issue for the Kings this year -- they rank second in scoring with 3.87 goals per game.... See More ... See Less -
Blues' Jordan Binnington: Solid in relief outing
Binnington stopped 13 of 14 shots in relief of Joel Hofer in Thursday's 5-1 loss to the Sharks. Binnington didn't get the full night off as originally planned, but he did fairly well in his relief appearance. The 30-year-old has allowed just three goals over his last three games combined. He's at a 5-4-1 record with a 2.23 GAA and a .930 save percentage over 11 appearances (10 starts). Binnington and Hofer figure to split this weekend's back-to-back, with the former likely facing the Kings on Saturday while the latter should get the Ducks on Sunday.... See More ... See Less -
Blues' Jordan Binnington: Earns shutout win
Binnington posted a 30-save shutout in Tuesday's 5-0 win over the Lightning. Binnington has won three of his last four outings, allowing just seven goals over that span. He's faced at least 30 shots in all but two of his outings this season, but the 30-year-old is doing fairly well with a 5-4-1 record, 2.27 GAA and .930 save percentage. The Blues begin a road trip out west Thursday in San Jose, though it's unclear if Binnington will start against the league's worst offense or if Joel Hofer will get a turn in net.... See More ... Blues' Jordan Binnington: Starting Tuesday
Binnington will patrol the home crease Tuesday against Tampa Bay, per Lou Korac of The Hockey News. Binnington is coming off a 36-save performance in Saturday's 8-2 win over Colorado. He has a 4-4-1 record this season to go along with a 2.52 GAA and a .923 save percentage through nine games played. Tampa Bay is tied for eighth in the league this campaign with 3.53 goals per contest.... See More ... See Less -
Blues' Jordan Binnington: Plenty of help in win
Binnington stopped 36 of 38 shots in Saturday's 8-2 win over the Avalanche. Binnington had lost four of his last five outings, but he was sharp in this contest. Both Brayden Schenn and Pavel Buchnevich put up hat tricks to support him in the blowout win. Binnington is up to 4-4-1 with a 2.52 GAA and a .923 save percentage through nine starts this season. The Blues' next game is at home Tuesday versus the Lightning.... See More ... See Less -
Blues' Jordan Binnington: Starting vs. Avalanche
Binnington will guard the road cage Saturday against the Avalanche, Ryan Boulding of NHL.com reports. Binnington has struggled recently, going 1-4-0 with an .895 save percentage in his last five starts. He'll face a Colorado team that's averaging 3.3 goals per game to open the season.... See More ... Blues' Jordan Binnington: Falls to Winnipeg
Binnington allowed four goals on 36 shots in Tuesday's 5-2 loss to the Jets. The 36 shots were the most Binnington has faced in a single contest this season. It was a tough outing for the 30-year-old after he made 33 saves on 34 shots in a win over New Jersey in his previous start. He's now 3-4-1 to open the season with a solid .919 save percentage and 2.58 GAA. Binnington will likely be back between the pipes Thursday at home against the Coyotes.... See More ... See Less -
Blues' Jordan Binnington: Starting Tuesday
Binnington will patrol the home crease Tuesday against Winnipeg, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports. Binnington ended his three-game losing skid with a 33-save performance in Friday's 4-1 win over New Jersey. He has a 3-3-1 record this season with a 2.38 GAA and a .924 save percentage. Winnipeg has accounted for 36 goals through 11 contests this campaign.... See More ... See Less -
Blues' Jordan Binnington: Strong showing in win
Binnington stopped 33 of 34 shots in Friday's 4-1 win over the Devils. Binnington also logged an assist on one of the Blues' two empty-net tallies. After losing three straight outings, this was exactly the kind of bounce-back effort Binnington needed to right the ship. The 30-year-old is at a 3-3-1 record with a 2.38 GAA and a .924 save percentage through seven starts this season. Joel Hofer will likely handle the second half of a back-to-back Saturday when the Blues host the Canadiens.... See More ... See Less -
Blues' Jordan Binnington: Tending twine Friday
Per Lou Korac of NHL.com, Binnington will patrol the home crease versus New Jersey on Friday. Binnington is 2-3-1 but has lost his last three starts. He has a 2.61 GAA and a .916 save percentage this season. He will face what could be a tired Devils team -- New Jersey defeated Minnesota 5-3 on Thursday.... See More ... See Less -
Blues' Jordan Binnington: Slump continues
Binnington allowed four goals on 28 shots in Wednesday's 4-1 loss to the Avalanche. Binnington had two wins over his first three outings of the season, but he's now lost three in a row while allowing 12 goals on 92 shots. The 30-year-old goalie was very streaky in 2022-23, and fantasy managers probably don't want to see that roller-coaster ride continue this year. Look for Binnington and Joel Hofer to split the Blues' upcoming back-to-back with home games Friday versus the Devils and Saturday versus the Canadiens.... See More ... See Less -
Blues' Jordan Binnington: Set to start Wednesday
Binnington is expected to start in Wednesday's road game versus Colorado, per Matthew DeFranks of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Binnington has a 2-2-1 record, 2.33 GAA and .926 save percentage in five contests this season. The Avalanche are 6-2-0 while being tied for 10th offensively with an average of 3.38 goals per game. However, Colorado suffered shutout losses to Pittsburgh and Buffalo on Thursday and Sunday, respectively, so Binnington will be facing a colder version of the Avalanche.... See More ... See Less -
Blues' Jordan Binnington: No help in loss
Binnington stopped 30 of 35 shots in Friday's 5-0 loss to the Canucks. The Blues fell flat in the second half of a back-to-back. Binnington was under siege in the first period, but a three-goal burst from the Canucks in a span of 3:04 during the middle stanza put the game out of reach. Binnington had allowed just seven goals over his first four games combined. He's been a pleasant surprise so far, but he had a tendency to run hot and cold in 2022-23, so fantasy managers will have to hope this isn't the start of a rough run for the 30-year-old. The Blues have some extended rest before wrapping up their road trip in Colorado on Wednesday.... See More ... See Less

Lou Korac@lkorac106H ago#stlblues did hit three posts/cross bars tonight but simply not enough pucks to the net. A four-minute PP with chance to tie the game and only one shot? Inexcusable again. #mnwild did have 25 blocks. And as I'm watching this game, a lot of those were skaters too slow shooting it.

Jeremy Rutherford@jprutherford6H agoThe Blues are in a playoff spot as of today. They've earned that. For as many clunkers as they've played, they've had some really good games. But at some point, the power play has to score. It's just that simple. You can't make the playoffs with this PP all season. #stlblues
