  • Devils' Brenden Dillon: Ruled out for Game 5

Dillon (lower body) has been ruled out for Tuesday's Game 5 against the Hurricanes, Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site reports. Dillon sustained a lower-body injury in Game 1 of the Devils' first-round series, and he'll be unavailable for a fourth consecutive matchup Tuesday. It's not yet clear when he'll be in the mix to return, but Simon Nemec and Jonas Siegenthaler will likely remain in the lineup for Game 5 since Dillon and Luke Hughes (upper body) will both be sidelined.

  • Devils' Brenden Dillon: Unavailable for Sunday

Dillon (lower body) won't play in Game 4 versus the Hurricanes on Sunday, Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site reports. Dillon will miss his third consecutive game. He had two goals, 16 points, 67 PIM, 191 hits and 108 blocks across 82 regular-season outings in 2024-25. Simon Nemec and Jonas Siegenthaler will probably remain in the lineup for Game 4 due to the continued absences of Dillon and Luke Hughes (upper body).

  • Devils' Brenden Dillon: Not playing Friday

Dillon (lower body) will miss Game 3 against Carolina on Friday. Dillon will sit out his second consecutive game, along with Luke Hughes (undisclosed). The 34-year-old Dillon was injured in the second stanza in Game 1 on Sunday and has not practiced since. Look for Simon Nemec and Dennis Cholowski to remain in the lineup, replacing Dillon and Hughes.

  • Devils' Brenden Dillon: Not available for Game 2

Dillon (lower body) will not be in the lineup Tuesday against the Hurricanes in Game 2. In addition to Dillon, Luke Hughes (undisclosed) will not play Tuesday -- Simon Nemec and Dennis Cholowski will draw into the lineup as a result. Head coach Sheldon Keefe did not relay if Dillon would be available for Game 3, which is Friday in New Jersey.

  • Devils' Brenden Dillon: Exits Game 1 but wanted to return

Dillon suffered an undisclosed injury in the second period of Sunday's 4-1 loss to Carolina in Game 1 and did not return, Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site reports. Head coach Sheldon Keefe relayed that Dillon was "eager to get back out there" after the blueliner left the contest, but Dillon was held back by the team's doctors. While it's positive news that Dillon wanted to return, it's possible he'll be a game-time decision for Game 2 on Tuesday. In the event that the 34-year-old is unable to suit up, Dennis Cholowski, Seamus Casey and Simon Nemec are candidates to play in Dillon's stead.

  • Devils' Brenden Dillon: Adds shorthanded assist in win

Dillon logged a shorthanded assist, two blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Saturday's 4-0 win over the Rangers. Dillon has three helpers over his last eight outings. The defenseman helped out on a Jesper Bratt tally in the second period, putting the Devils up 2-0. Dillon is now at 16 points, 45 shots on net, 181 hits, 104 blocked shots, 65 PIM and a plus-8 rating over 77 appearances this season. He will likely miss the 20-point mark for the first time since 2020-21, but he remains a key defensive figure in the Devils' lineup.

  • Devils' Brenden Dillon: Posts helper Thursday

Dillon logged an assist, three hits and two blocked shots in Thursday's 5-3 loss to the Flames. Dillon has two helpers, nine hits and seven blocked shots over his last six games. The 34-year-old has played on the third pairing as a steadying veteran presence alongside Simon Nemec during the absences of Jonas Siegenthaler (lower body) and Dougie Hamilton (lower body). Dillon continues to offer strong physical play with 169 hits, 96 blocks and 65 PIM, but he's at 14 points over 70 appearances, putting him on track to miss the 20-point mark for the first time since the abbreviated 2020-21 season.

  • Devils' Brenden Dillon: Finds assist in win

Dillon managed an assist in Sunday's 3-1 win over the Flyers. Dillon ended his 13-game point drought with the secondary helper on Erik Haula's game-winning tally in the second period. The 34-year-old Dillon is still seeing a hearty share of ice time as a physical force on the blue line despite his lack of offense recently. He's at 13 points, 35 shots on net, 161 hits, 89 blocked shots, 65 PIM and a plus-13 rating over 65 appearances. He'll likely be tasked to handle extra shutdown duties, as Jonas Siegenthaler (lower body) and Dougie Hamilton (lower body) are both unavailable.

  • Devils' Brenden Dillon: Lacking offense

Dillon's point drought reached 11 games in Sunday's 2-0 loss to the Golden Knights. Dillon has contributed in other areas with 33 hits, 13 blocked shots and a plus-4 rating in that span, but it's one game shy of matching his longest slump on offense all season. The physical blueliner has a total of 12 points, 32 shots on net, 154 hits, 88 blocked shots, 63 PIM and a plus-15 rating over 62 appearances. Despite the struggles on offense, he's a regular in the lineup as an imposing defensive presence for one of the sturdiest defenses in the league -- the Devils are fifth-best in the league with just 26.4 shots allowed per game.

  • Devils' Brenden Dillon: Posts assist Saturday

Dillon notched an assist, two hits, two blocked shots and two PIM in Saturday's 4-3 overtime win over the Canadiens. Dillon ended a 12-game point drought when he assisted on Jesper Bratt's first-period tally. Offense remains limited for Dillon, who has 12 points, 121 hits, 74 blocked shots, 56 PIM and 27 shots on net over 51 appearances this season. The physicality is his main form of production, but that limits his appeal to fantasy formats that count hits and blocks.

  • Devils' Brenden Dillon: Adds insurance tally

Dillon scored a goal and levied seven hits in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Blues. Dillon has three points, 15 hits and seven blocked shots over his last six games. The 34-year-old blueliner continues to play on the top pairing at even strength, providing physicality and a shutdown mentality alongside Dougie Hamilton. Dillon is up to two goals, nine points, 21 shots on net, 87 hits, 57 blocked shots, 39 PIM and a plus-7 rating through 34 appearances. His lack of offense limits his fantasy appeal, but he's on pace to reach the 20-point mark for the fourth year in a row.

  • Devils' Brenden Dillon: Nabs helper in win

Dillon produced an assist, two shots on goal, three hits and a plus-2 rating in Friday's 3-2 win over the Kraken. Dillon helped out on a Jesper Bratt goal in the second period. The helper was Dillon's first point in five games. The 34-year-old defenseman has occupied a top-four role for much of the season, though his average ice time is 18:26 through 29 contests. He won't add a ton of offense -- he has seven points and 17 shots on net to go with 75 hits, 51 blocked shots, 37 PIM and a plus-7 rating as a physical presence on the blue line.

  • Devils' Brenden Dillon: Finds back of net in win

Dillon scored his first goal of the campaign Saturday in a 3-2 win over the Capitals. Dillon floated a wrist shot through traffic to put the Devils up 2-1 at 7:08 of the second period. The 34-year-old compiled two shots, one block, four hits and a plus-1 rating in 14:16 of ice time to round out a useful fantasy performance. This type of outing is rare for the stay-at-home defenseman, as his marker Saturday was his first point in November. The British Columbia native has logged one goal, four assists and a plus-6 rating through 23 contests this season. He has served as a key penalty killer for the Devils while logging 2:14 of shorthanded ice time per game.

  • Devils' Brenden Dillon: Registers assist

Dillon notched an assist, three hits, three blocked shots and two PIM in Sunday's 6-2 win over the Ducks. Dillon has a helper in each of the last two games, giving him four assists through 12 games this season. Since the Devils welcomed Brett Pesce and Luke Hughes back from their respective stints on injured reserve, Dillon's ice time has taken a nosedive, though he's still listed in a top-four role. The 33-year-old blueliner has logged just six shots on net while adding 29 hits, 27 blocks, 22 PIM and a plus-2 rating. His physical play is consistent, but offense will be hard to come by if he slips down the lineup.

  • Devils' Brenden Dillon: First helper with new team

Dillon logged an assist, three hits, two PIM and a minus-2 rating in Thursday's 4-2 loss to the Maple Leafs. Dillon picked up his first point as a Devil in his third game with the team. The 33-year-old blueliner has opened his New Jersey tenure on the top pairing alongside Dougie Hamilton. It's a good spot and one that could lead to some trickle-down offense, but Dillon's game is based on physicality and playing a shutdown role. He has seven hits, six blocked shots and 11 PIM over three contests in 2024-25.

  • Devils' Brenden Dillon: Inks three-year contract

Dillon (hand) signed a three-year, $12 million contract with New Jersey on Monday, according to Sportsnet's Luke Gazdic. Dillon compiled eight goals, 20 points, 79 shots on net, 111 blocked shots and 241 hits in 77 regular-season contests with Winnipeg in 2023-24. He will provide the Devils with some depth on the blue line and could be a veteran partner for Simon Nemec. The 33-year-old Dillon missed the final two games of Winnipeg's first-round series against Colorado after suffering a cut to his hand by a skate. Still, he should be ready for training camp in the fall.

  • Jets' Brenden Dillon: Ruled out for Game 5

Dillon (hand) will not be available against Colorado for Game 5 on Tuesday, John Lu of TSN reports. Dillon is stuck in a 12-game goal drought during which he has recorded four assists, 10 shots on goal and 45 hits while averaging 19:49 of ice time per contest. With Dillon sidelined, Logan Stanley stepped into the lineup for Game 4 and figures to remain in that role heading into Tuesday's contest.

  • Jets' Brenden Dillon: Out Sunday

Dillon (hand) won't play Sunday against the Avalanche, Mitchell Clinton of the Jets' official site reports. While Dillon has been ruled out for Game 4, there's a chance he could return Tuesday when the Jets return home for Game 5. Still, it's a tough blow for Winnipeg -- the veteran blueliner had three assists through the first three games of the series. Logan Stanley is expected to work on the second pairing in Dillon's absence.

  • Jets' Brenden Dillon: Questionable for Sunday

Dillon (hand) didn't suffer any muscle or tendon damage after being cut by a skate during a scrum at the end of Friday's 6-2 loss to Colorado in Game 3. Although it's great news that he didn't sustain a more serious injury, the 33-year-old defenseman did require stitches and remains questionable for Game 4 versus the Avalanche on Sunday, Mike McIntyre of the Winnipeg Free Press reports Saturday. Dillon has three assists, four PIM, 12 hits and six blocks while averaging 21:04 of ice time across three playoff contests this year. He also accumulated eight goals, 20 points, 92 PIM, 241 hits and 111 blocks in 77 regular-season outings. If Dillon can't play Sunday, Logan Stanley will likely draw into the lineup.

  • Jets' Brenden Dillon: Suffers hand injury

Dillon suffered a hand injury at the end of Friday's 6-2 loss to Colorado in Game 3, according to Mitchell Clinton of the Jets' official site. There were fisticuffs at the final buzzer, and Dillon picked up roughing minors against Jack Johnson and Brandon Duhaime. Coach Rick Bowness said after the game that there was no update on Dillon's status as the defenseman was still being evaluated. If Dillon is unavailable for Sunday's Game 4 matchup, Logan Stanley or Colin Miller could be inserted into the lineup.
