  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Eligible to return Sunday

Hartman has served his two-match ban and will be available to face Chicago on Sunday. Prior to his suspension, Hartman was mired in a seven-game goalless streak during which he registered 17 shots and one assist. Considering the Blackhawks are allowing 3.71 goals per game (second most in the league), Sunday's contest could offer a good opportunity for Hartman to rediscover his scoring touch. With Hartman back in the lineup, Vinni Lettieri could be headed back to AHL Iowa.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Handed two-game ban

Hartman received a two-game suspension Monday for tripping Alex DeBrincat in Sunday's 4-1 loss to the Red Wings. The incident occurred during the third period of Sunday's game, when Hartman was deemed to have intentionally swept DeBrincat's feet out from under him. Hartman's history of rough play on the ice likely factored into the league's decision to suspend him; the 29-year-old has been fined on six occasions since making his NHL debut in 2014. He'll be eligible to return Sunday against Chicago but will miss matchups with the Blues and Predators this week. Expect the Wild to promote another forward from the AHL ranks to replace Hartman before Tuesday's matchup with St. Louis. Hartman has 11 points in 18 games this season.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Set for hearing

Hartman will have a hearing for slew-footing Detroit's Alex DeBrincat on Sunday. Hartman put four shots on goal in 13:13 of ice time during Sunday's 4-1 loss. If the hearing results in a suspension, he'll miss at least Tuesday's game against the Blues. The 29-year-old has seven goals and 11 points in 18 games this season.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Set to return Sunday

Hartman (illness) is expected to return to the lineup Sunday versus Toronto, Sarah McLellan of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. Hartman appears to be ready to return after sitting out Saturday's 2-1 shootout loss to Ottawa. He skated alongside Joel Eriksson Ek and Marcus Foligno during the pregame warmups. Hartman has registered seven goals, 11 points, 39 shots on net, 11 blocked shots and 15 hits across 15 appearances this campaign.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Not playing Saturday

Hartman will not be in the lineup versus Ottawa on Saturday due to an illness, according to Michael Russo of The Athletic. Hartman will be replaced in the lineup by Nicolas Petan. Hartman could be an option for Sunday's contest versus Toronto. He has seven goals and 11 points in 15 games this season.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Scores in shootout win

Hartman scored a goal on two shots in the Wild's 5-4 shootout win over the Rangers on Saturday. Hartman opened the scoring for the Wild by jamming home a loose puck on the goal line to cut the Rangers' lead to 3-1. This goal marks his third goal in his last four games as he looks to be picking up steam offensively. Hartman should continue to play on the second line and second power-play unit.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Pots fifth tally Friday

Hartman scored his fifth goal of the season in Friday's 3-2 shootout loss to the Capitals. With the Wild down 2-1 early in the third period, Hartman picked the pocket of Martin Fehervary at the blue line for a clear breakaway, then beat Darcy Kuemper on his backhand to earn his squad a point. Kuemper got the better of him in the shootout however, as John Carlson was the only skater in seven rounds to find the back of the net and decide the game. Hartman's got five goals and three assists in eight games to begin the campaign, though the bulk of that production came in a five-point performance against Edmonton on Tuesday. The 29-year-old put together a 34-goal, 65-point effort in 2021-22, but he only had 15 goals and 22 helpers over 59 appearances last season.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Hats off in home victory

Hartman rolled up three goals with two assists in Tuesday's 7-4 victory against the Oilers. Hartman had himself a day, ending up with a plus-4 rating, five shots on goal, a minor penalty and a hit in his 17:28 of ice time. He also won seven of his 12 faceoff opportunities (58.3 percent) in the victory. It was the second career hat trick for Hartman, and his five points were one short of a franchise record for a single game. Although his hot start has been a nice surprise, fantasy managers probably shouldn't expect Hartman to sustain this level of production throughout the campaign, making him a potential early-season, sell-high candidate.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Signs three-year contract extension

Hartman inked a three-year, $12 million contract extension with the Wild on Saturday, Jessi Pierce of NHL.com reports. Hartman still has one more season left on his three-year, $5,1 million contract. He came into his own in 2021-22, scoring 34 goals, 31 assists, 95 PIM and 72 hits in 82 games. He missed 21 games with an upper-body injury in late October and regressed to 15 goals and 37 points in 59 appearances last season. Hartman is slated to center the top line betwen Kirill Kaprizov and Mats Zuccarello this campaign.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Limited to begin camp

Hartman (undisclosed) was limited to begin camp Thursday, Michael Russo and Joe Smith of The Athletic report. Hartman was on the ice for practice, but he did not take line rushes, with Frederick Gaudreau filling in for Hartman on the top line. Head coach Dean Evason isn't concerned about Hartman's Opening Night status, but it seems like the 29-year-old forward will be eased into action in camp.

Still, the 28-year-old forward has continued to produce offensively with two goals and three assists in his three playoff appearances.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Won't play Wednesday

Hartman (lower body) won't play in Wednesday's Game 2 versus the Stars. Hartman scored the game-winning goal in double-overtime to seal the Wild's Game 1 win, but he'll be out just two days later. The 28-year-old can be considered day-to-day for now.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Secures win in second overtime

Hartman scored a goal on four shots, logged three hits and added two PIM in Monday's 3-2 double-overtime win over the Stars. Hartman got some unintentional rest with a one-game suspension to close out the regular season. After an uneven start to the campaign, he posted six goals and eight assists over his last 17 outings, and his success has carried over early in the playoffs. The 28-year-old should be good as a physical presence in the top six, and he'll have some solid fantasy appeal as long as he's centering Kirill Kaprizov and Mats Zuccarello at even strength.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Handed one-game suspension

Hartman was given a one-game suspension by the NHL on Wednesday for interference on Winnipeg's Nikolaj Ehlers. The incident occurred in the third period of Tuesday's 3-1 loss to the Jets. Hartman won't be eligible to play in the Wild's regular-season finale Thursday versus Nashville, but he will be available for the start of the playoffs. Hartman's pair of points came in a span of 20 seconds as the Wild scored two shorthanded goals on the same penalty kill. He snapped a three-game point drought with the effort Saturday. Hartman has 15 goals, 36 points (four on the power play, four shorthanded), 146 shots on net, 60 hits, 84 PIM and a plus-6 rating through 57 appearances.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Contributes helper

Hartman logged an assist, four shots on goal and two hits in Wednesday's 4-2 win over the Avalanche. Hartman has two goals and two helpers during his active four-game point streak. The 28-year-old has looked good on the top line lately, showing some of the consistency he had last season after opening 2022-23 in shaky form. Overall, he's picked up 14 goals, 20 helpers, 53 hits, 135 shots on net, 82 PIM and a plus-7 rating through 53 outings this season.
