Horvat notched a pair of assists in Tuesday's 5-4 overtime loss to San Jose. Horvat set up Julien Gauthier's opening tally in the first period before adding a power-play assist on Brock Nelson's goal in the second. The 28-year-old Horvat now has points in four straight games, totaling two goals and four assists in that span. He's up to seven goals and 20 points overall through 23 contests this season.... Islanders' Bo Horvat: Three-game, four-point streak
Horvat delivered two assists Saturday in a 4-3 win over Florida. Horvat is on a three-game points streak (two goals, two assists), but this was his first outing in 12 that he put up multiple points. He has 18 points, including 11 apples, in 22 games this season. However, Horvat's seven goals puts him on a modest 25-goal pace and that's a far cry from his impressive 38 tallies from last season when he split time between the Canucks and Islanders.... Islanders' Bo Horvat: Scores goal vs. Carolina
Horvat scored a goal in a 5-4 overtime win over Carolina on Thursday. Horvat's marker came late in the first period to tie the contest at 1-1. He's up to seven goals and 16 points in 21 outings this season. Horvat has now found the back of the net in consecutive contests after being held off the scoresheet for three straight games from Nov. 22-25. We might be witnessing the start of another hot streak for the 28-year-old.... See More ... See Less -
Islanders' Bo Horvat: Scores in return to Vancouver
Horvat scored a goal on three shots in Wednesday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Canucks. Horvat played in Vancouver for the first time as a visitor Wednesday, and he was able to put the Islanders ahead 3-1 with a second-period tally. The center has a goal and two assists during his three-game point streak. The 28-year-old is up to 12 points, 44 shots on net, 11 blocked shots, 10 hits and an even plus-minus rating through 14 appearances in a top-line role.... See More ... See Less -
Islanders' Bo Horvat: Set to play
Horvat (lower body) is expected to play Thursday versus the Bruins, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports. Horvat missed one game with the injury, but it looks like he's good to go after taking line rushes in warmups. The 28-year-old is set to return to his top-line spot and should also see time on the first power-play unit.... See More ... See Less -
Islanders' Bo Horvat: Game-time decision Thursday
Horvat (lower body) will be a game-time decision versus Boston on Thursday, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports. Horvat missed Tuesday's tilt versus Minnesota with the injury. He has four goals and five assists with 36 shots on goal in 10 games this season. Check back for confirmation on his status prior to puck drop against the Bruins.... See More ... See Less -
Islanders' Bo Horvat: Unavailable Tuesday
Horvat (lower body) won't play Tuesday against Minnesota, Stefen Rosner of The Hockey News reports. Horvat, who is listed as day-to-day, has four goals, nine points, 36 shots on net, eight blocked shots and six hits in 10 appearances this season. Mathew Barzal is slated to center the top line during Horvat's absence, and Oliver Wahlstrom will return to the lineup after being a healthy scratch for the past two games.... See More ... See Less -
Islanders' Bo Horvat: Deemed day-to-day
Horvat (lower body) is considered day-to-day ahead of Tuesday's matchup with Minnesota, Stefen Rosner of The Hockey News reports. Horvat is likely still feeling the effects of the shot he blocked which briefly forced him from Saturday's loss to Carolina. The 28-year-old pivot may end up being a game-time call for Tuesday's matchup with the Wild. If Horvat, who's picked up four goals and nine points through 10 contests this season, can't play, Oliver Wahlstrom or Julien Gauthier will likely draw into the lineup.... See More ... See Less -
Islanders' Bo Horvat: Provides two points in loss
Horvat had a goal and an assist in the Islanders' 4-3 overtime loss to Detroit on Monday. Horvat's marker came on the power play at 15:49 of the third period to tie the contest at 3-3. He's done well with New York this year, providing four goals and seven points through eight contests. Horvat will continue to be a key figure with the Islanders as a member of their first line and top power-play unit.... See More ... See Less -
Islanders' Bo Horvat: Two points in win
Horvat tallied a goal and an assist in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Senators. Horvat opened the scoring in the first period with a goal in the opening seconds of an Islanders' power play before adding an assist on Noah Dobson's game-winning tally in the third. After he was held without a point in his first two games, Horvat's now posted three goals and two assists in his last four contests. Overall, it's an encouraging start for Horvat, who recorded just seven goals and nine assists in 30 games with the Islanders following a midseason trade from Vancouver last year. He'll continue to skate on New York's top line with Mathew Barzal and Anders Lee while also working on the top power-play unit.... See More ... See Less -
Islanders' Bo Horvat: Picks up two assists vs. Flyers
Horvat collected two assists in the Islanders' 4-0 victory over Philadelphia on Saturday. Horvat has a goal and four points over his last two contests. Even factoring in Horvat's recent success, he's seen a decline in offensive productivity since he was acquired by the Islanders from Vancouver. The skilled forward contributed 31 goals and 54 points in 49 contests with the Canucks this season, but he's been limited to seven goals and 15 points through 28 outings since the trade.... Islanders' Bo Horvat: Brings 11-game goal slump to end
Horvat supplied a goal in the Islanders' 5-1 victory over New Jersey on Monday. Horvat found the back of the net late in the third period to increase New York's lead to 4-1. He has 37 goals and 65 points in 72 contests this season. Horvat's tally Monday snapped an 11-game goal-scoring drought, during which he recorded just two assists.... See More ... See Less -
Islanders' Bo Horvat: Earns power-play helper
Horvat recorded a power-play assist in Friday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Blue Jackets. The former Canucks captain averaged 3.2 points per 60 minutes through 49 games with Vancouver prior to his trade to the Islanders, which was far and away the best stretch of his career. However, the change of scenery has been rather challenging for Horvat. He has five goals and the same number of assists through 21 games with the Isles. which is a far cry from the pace that he'd been on previously. Horvat has a career-worst shooting percentage (8.1) with his new team, and the absence of Mathew Barzal (lower body) makes that top line less of a threat.... See More ... See Less -
Islanders' Bo Horvat: Goalless streak at five games
Horvat has now gone five straight games without a goal after failing to wrinkle the twine in the 5-1 loss to the Capitals on Saturday. Horvat has only one goal in his last eight and two in his last 12 games. It probably shouldn't be surprising that he has been slumping without linemate Mathew Barzal (knee) for most of that time. Barzal still doesn't have a timetable, so Horvat will have to figure out how to light the lamp with a rotating cast of characters flanking him for the immediate future.... See More ... See Less -
Islanders' Bo Horvat: Nets shorty in win
Horvat scored a goal on three shots in Sunday's 4-0 win over Winnipeg. Horvat opened the scoring Sunday with a shorthanded tally in the first period, beating David Rittich with a long-range wrist shot. The goal would stand as the game-winner in New York's shutout victory. Horvat is up to eight points (five goals, three assists) in 11 games since he was traded to the Islanders. He has 36 goals and 26 assists overall in 50 games this season.... See More ... See Less -
Islanders' Bo Horvat: One of each Monday
Horvat scored a goal on two shots and added an assist in Monday's 4-2 win over the Penguins. Horvat scored a game-tying goal in the third period, then helped out on Anders Lee's go-ahead tally just 1:41 later. This ended a three-game point drought for Horvat, who will have to adjust to playing without Mathew Barzal (lower body) on the top line. Horvat has six points through eight games as an Islander, and he's at 35 tallies, 60 points, 166 shots on net, 43 hits and a plus-4 rating through 57 contests overall.... See More ... See Less -
Islanders' Bo Horvat: Two points versus former team
Horvat scored a goal on four shots, dished an assist and went plus-2 in Thursday's 6-5 loss to the Canucks. Horvat's third game as an Islander came against his former team. The 27-year-old stepped up with a strong performance, but the Canucks' comeback skill was a bit stronger in this one. Horvat is up to 33 tallies, 24 helpers, 153 shots on net, 41 hits, 33 blocked shots and a plus-6 rating through 52 contests this season. He's not slowing down as the Islanders' new first-line center, and he's worked well with Mathew Barzal playing on his wing.... See More ... See Less -
Islanders' Bo Horvat: Nets first goal with Islanders
Horvat contributed a goal in the Islanders' 4-0 win over Seattle on Tuesday. Horvat supplied the marker at 5:08 of the second period, increasing the Islanders' lead to 4-0. It was his first goal and point in two games since being acquired by the Islanders from Vancouver. The 27-year-old had 31 goals and 54 points in 49 contests with the Canucks in 2022-23 before he was traded.... See More ... See Less -
Islanders' Bo Horvat: Extended by Islanders
Horvat signed an eight-year, $68 million contract extension with the Islanders on Sunday. Horvat, who was acquired Jan. 30 from Vancouver, will now be on Long Island for the foreseeable future. The extension was a deserved one for the 27-year-old center, who has already tied his career high with 31 goals while adding 23 assists through 49 games on the season. Horvat will make his much-anticipated Islanders debut Monday against the Flyers.... See More ... See Less -
Canucks' Bo Horvat: Distributes four helpers in win
Horvat notched four assists and a plus-3 rating in Friday's 5-2 win over the Blue Jackets. Horvat had one helper on both the power play and the penalty kill, while his other two came at even strength. It was an impressive game in all facets for the center, who also won 15 of 25 faceoffs. This was his first multi-point effort since Jan. 3, but he's been steady with five goals and nine assists through 13 contests this month. For the season, the 27-year-old has 31 tallies, 23 helpers, 143 shots on net and a plus-3 rating through 49 appearances.... See More ... See Less
