It was a well-rounded effort from MacKinnon, who also picked up his 500th career assist in the game. Both of his helpers were primary assists Tuesday. Avalanche's Nathan MacKinnon: Keeps rolling with helper
MacKinnon notched an assist and two shots on goal in Sunday's 4-1 loss to the Kings. The helper extended MacKinnon's point streak to eight games (two goals, nine assists). The center is still shooting a rather low 7.2 percent this season, his lowest mark since 2016-17, which was one year before he ascended to superstar status. MacKinnon provided an assist, six shots on goal and two blocked shots in Saturday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Ducks. MacKinnon has amassed two goals and eight helpers during his seven-game point streak. This is his longest heater of the year, though he also racked up 11 points over a five-game streak in the first half of November. Avalanche's Nathan MacKinnon: Extends point streak to six
MacKinnon scored a power-play goal and had seven shots on net in Thursday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Coyotes. He added one blocked shot and one hit to his line over 25:31 of ice time. During an extended sequence in Arizona's end, the Coyotes forgot about MacKinnon hanging out on the other side of the ice. He one-timed a feed from Cale Makar for the game-tying goal that led to overtime. It extended MacKinnon's point streak to six games, but, Incredibly, it was just the first tally on the power play for MacKinnon this year.
