Lightning's Luke Glendening: Puts up assist Wednesday
Glendening recorded an assist and five hits in Wednesday's 6-3 loss to the Panthers in Game 5.
Glendening managed two points, one shot on goal, 13 hits and five blocked shots over five playoff outings. The 36-year-old was limited to just seven points in 77 regular-season games, the third time in six years he's failed to log double-digit points. He's an unrestricted free agent this offseason, and it's unclear if he'll be back with the Lightning or if he'll continue his playing career at all moving forward.

Lightning's Luke Glendening: Could play Tuesday
Glendening (upper body) is available for Game 1 against the Panthers on Tuesday, Amalie Benjamin of NHL.com reports.
Glendening sat out the last four games of the regular season after getting hurt against Toronto on April 9. The Lightning ruled him out indefinitely as of April 11, so the 35-year-old seemingly made great strides in recovering from his injury. He'll be an option to center the fourth line Tuesday. Glendening has accounted for five goals, eight points and a minus-10 rating over 45 career postseason outings.

Lightning's Luke Glendening: Ruled out indefinitely
The Lightning announced Friday that Glendening has been ruled out indefinitely due to an upper-body injury.
Glendening had already been ruled out for Friday's game against the Red Wings after sustaining an injury Wednesday against the Maple Leafs. It appears as though he'll face a multi-game absence to close out the regular season, and it's unclear whether he'll be available for the start of the playoffs. The Lightning have just four regular-season games remaining, concluding with a road game against the Rangers on Thursday, and it wouldn't be surprising to see him held out for all four of those matchups.

Glendening (undisclosed) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Red Wings, Eduardo A. Encina of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Glendening sustained an injury in the first period of Wednesday's game against the Maple Leafs, and he was unable to return. While the exact nature and severity of the injury aren't yet known, he'll be forced to miss at least one game, and head coach Jon Cooper said Friday that Glendening might not play again during the regular season, but the team hopes that the 35-year-old will be healthy in time for the start of the playoffs. Zemgus Girgensons is a candidate to enter the lineup in Glendening's absence.

Lightning's Luke Glendening: Exits Wednesday's game
Glendening (undisclosed) won't return to Wednesday's game versus the Maple Leafs, Gabby Shirley of FanDuel Sports Network Florida & Sun reports.
Glendening was hurt late in the first period and ultimately wasn't able to return to action. If the 35-year-old forward remains out Friday versus the Red Wings, Cam Atkinson or Jake Guentzel (personal) could rejoin the lineup to take his place. Glendening is in a fourth-line role, so his potential absence won't have a significant impact in fantasy.

Glendening sat out Tuesday's clash with the Islanders for the birth of his child, but he is back in the mix for Thursday's tilt. The 35-year-old forward is currently mired in a 17-game pointless streak dating back to Feb. 23 versus the Kraken. During that slump, the Michigan native has managed a mere nine shots but has chipped in 19 hits and 17 blocks while averaging 11:17 of ice time.

Glendening's point drought reached 16 games in Thursday's 8-0 win over Utah.
In that span, Glendening has just nine shots on net to go with 19 hits and 17 blocked shots. That lack of offense is enough to send fantasy managers searching elsewhere for depth forwards.

Glendening produced a shorthanded assist in Friday's 3-2 overtime win over the Predators.
Glendening has earned two points this season, both coming over the last three games while on the penalty kill. The 35-year-old's defensive skills are not in question, and his usage comes in tough minutes. That explains his lack offense this season, though he has chipped in 35 hits, 20 blocked shots, 14 shots on net and a minus-2 rating over 22 contests.

Glendening (undisclosed) practiced in a regular jersey Sunday, Eduardo A. Encina of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
