Gaudreau scored a goal on three shots in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Blues.
Gaudreau put the Wild ahead 2-1 late in the first period, beating Jordan Binnington with a wrist shot through traffic. It's the first point in 10 games this season for Gaudreau, who missed 10 games with an upper-body injury earlier in the campaign. The 30-year-old center tallied 19 goals and 38 points in 82 games last year. Gaudreau should primarily skate in a bottom-six role with the Wild while also seeing time on the second power-play unit.

Gaudreau (upper body) will be activated from long-term injured reserve ahead of his return to the lineup Sunday against Toronto, Sarah McLellan of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

Wild's Frederick Gaudreau: Moves to LTIR
Gaudreau (upper body) was placed on long-term injured reserve Monday.
Gaudreau, who is retroactive to Oct. 24, will be eligible to play Sunday against Toronto. According to Michael Russo of The Athletic, putting Gaudreau on LTIR allows the Wild to bring a 23rd player for the team's trip to Sweden for the Global Series. It also provides Minnesota with some flexibility in case Jesper Wallstedt has to play due to an injury or illness to Marc-Andre Fleury or Filip Gustavsson.

Gaudreau has missed eight straight games after being held without a point in his first six appearances. He'll travel with the Wild to Sweden and expects to return Nov. 19 barring any setbacks.

At this point it isn't clear if Gaudreau will be ready for training camp in September. He picked up 19 goals and 38 points through 82 regular-season contests before adding three goals through six playoff appearances this season.

Gaudreau provided a goal in Minnesota's 4-1 loss to Dallas in Game 6 on Friday.
Gaudreau found the back of the net midway through the third period, but that merely reduced Dallas' lead to 3-1.
