  • Avalanche's Josh Manson: Nabs helper in return

Manson logged an assist, four PIM and a plus-2 rating in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Stars in Game 1. Manson returned from an upper-body injury that cost him the last 15 games of the regular season. The 33-year-old Manson bumped Sam Malinski out of the lineup for Saturday's contest. However, Manson, Malinski and Erik Johnson could compete for two spots in the lineup throughout the playoffs. Manson was limited to 15 points, 105 hits, 59 blocked shots, 65 shots on net and a minus-6 rating in 48 regular-season appearances due to various injuries.

  • Avalanche's Josh Manson: Ready to rock Saturday

Manson (upper body) has been activated off injured reserve Friday, according to the NHL media site. Manson missed the final 15 games of the season with the injury. He played in only 48 regular-season games this season, scoring once, adding 14 assists with 105 hits and 59 blocked shots.

  • Avalanche's Josh Manson: Staying back in Colorado

Manson (upper body) will not be on the Avs' two-game road trip, Evan Rawal of the Denver Gazette reports Friday. Manson has been out of action since March 14 versus the Flames, a stretch of 13 games on the shelf that will now reach at least 15 before he is cleared to play. Due to Cale Makar (rest) and Ryan Lindgren (upper body) also not making the trip, the Avs will turn to youngsters Keaton Middleton and either Jack Ahcan or Wyatt Aamodt to fill out the lineup.

  • Avalanche's Josh Manson: Placed on injured reserve

Manson (upper body) was put on injured reserve Thursday, per the NHL media site. Manson, who was already ruled out for Thursday's clash against Vancouver, hasn't played since March 14, so he can be activated at any time. He has a goal, 15 points, 105 hits and 59 blocks in 48 outings in 2024-25. When healthy, Manson's presence might push Erik Johnson out of the lineup.

  • Avalanche's Josh Manson: Won't play Thursday

Manson (upper body) will not be in the lineup against Vancouver on Thursday, Aarif Deen of Colorado Hockey Now reports. Manson looks doubtful to suit up in the final two games of the season, either against Los Angeles or Anaheim on Saturday or Sunday, respectively, though he hasn't been officially ruled out. While the Avs will be getting Samuel Girard (undisclosed) back, they will now be without Ryan Lindgren (upper body) versus Vancouver, which means that Keaton Middleton should be expected to remain in the lineup.

  • Avalanche's Josh Manson: Will miss 12th straight game

Manson (upper body) will not be available for Tuesday's home game versus the Golden Knights, Evan Rawal of the Denver Gazette reports. Manson has missed 11 consecutive games after sustaining an upper-body injury March 14 against the Flames. There hasn't been much word regarding Manson's progression in his recovery, so he shouldn't be counted on to suit up Thursday against Vancouver. Erik Johnson has seen more consistent playing time on the right side of Colorado's third pairing due to Manson's absence.

  • Avalanche's Josh Manson: Still working way back from UBI

Manson (upper body) will not travel with Colorado for its upcoming three-game road trip, Evan Rawal of the Denver Gazette reports Tuesday. Manson last suited up March 14 and has missed eight consecutive games. Erik Johnson and Keaton Middleton have each received playing time on the third pairing in Manson's stead. Colorado's three-game road trip concludes Saturday, so Manson may not be an option until a home matchup against the Golden Knights on April 8.

  • Avalanche's Josh Manson: Set to miss next 3-4 weeks

Manson (upper body) is expected to miss the next 3-4 weeks, Jesse Montano of Guerilla Sports reports Wednesday. That puts Manson's availability for the remainder of the regular season in question, though it's possible he'll still get into a few games before the playoffs. Manson has a goal, 15 points, 28 PIM, 105 hits and 59 blocks in 48 appearances in 2024-25. Erik Johnson might play regularly during Manson's absence.

Manson (upper body) will likely be out week-to-week, Brennan Vogt of Mile High Hockey reports Sunday. Manson didn't play Sunday against Dallas after sustaining his upper-body injury Friday in Calgary. Sam Malinski should see an uptick in ice time while Manson is on the shelf, and Erik Johnson could play more consistently on the third pairing, though Keaton Middleton will be in the mix for minutes as well.

  • Avalanche's Josh Manson: Leaves Friday's game

Manson (upper body) won't return to Friday's game versus the Flames, Evan Rawal of the Denver Gazette reports. Manson was partially able to play through the injury in the second period, but didn't take the ice in the third. The 33-year-old defenseman might miss Sunday's game versus the Stars. If that happens, Sam Malinski would likely rejoin the lineup after being scratched Friday.

Manson logged an assist, two PIM and a plus-2 rating in Thursday's 7-3 win over the Sharks. Manson recorded 19:33 of ice time in his return from a seven-game absence due to a lower-body injury. The 33-year-old was on the second pairing and will likely slot in there as long as the Avalanche don't make any big moves on the blue line ahead of Friday's deadline. For the season, Manson has 14 points, 58 shots on net, 95 hits, 54 blocked shots and a minus-7 rating over 44 appearances.

Manson (lower body) will not play Tuesday versus the Penguins but is making progress in his recovery, according to Jesse Montano of Guerilla Sports. Manson will sit out for a seventh consecutive game Tuesday. The right-shot blueliner is trending in the right direction, so he could be an option for Thursday's home matchup against the Sharks. Once he's ready to return, Manson will most likely replace one of Oliver Kylington or Sam Malinski in the lineup.

He didn't travel on the Avalanche's most recent road trip, which suggests he probably isn't close to returning to the lineup. The Avalanche play the Wild on Friday, then have three days off before continuing their homestand against the Penguins on Tuesday.

  • Avalanche's Josh Manson: Will miss next two games

Manson (lower body) won't travel with the Avalanche during their upcoming two-game road trip that begins Saturday in Nashville, Evan Rawal of the Denver Gazette reports Friday. The Avalanche will face the Predators on Saturday and St. Louis on Sunday without Manson. The 33-year-old defenseman missed Colorado's final two games before the break for the 4 Nations Face-Off, so he hasn't suited up since Feb. 4.
