Maple Leafs' William Nylander: Fills empty cage
Nylander scored an empty-net goal on four shots and went plus-2 in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Lightning.
Nylander ended November with seven goals and six assists over 12 appearances. The 28-year-old put a bow on the month and Saturday's win with an empty-netter set up by Auston Matthews, who returned from an upper-body injury. Nylander is just fine on his own, but getting a talented teammate back should elevate his offense another step. For the season, Nylander has 15 goals, 10 assists, 83 shots on net and an even plus-minus rating over 23 appearances.

Maple Leafs' William Nylander: One of each in Sunday's win
Nylander scored a goal on five shots and added a power-play assist in Sunday's 3-2 win over Utah.
Nylander has posted a stat line of one goal and one assist in four of his last six outings, and he's had at least one power-play point in each of those instances. The 28-year-old forward is in the midst of another strong season in a top-six role for Toronto. He's compiled 14 goals, 10 helpers, 11 power-play points, 76 shots on net and a plus-1 rating over 21 appearances. His 18.4 shooting percentage is a bit lofty, but Nylander is a two-time 40-goal scorer, so he should continue to finish at a high rate even if his efficiency slips a bit.

Maple Leafs' William Nylander: Fuels offense in Wednesday's win
Nylander scored a power-play goal and added an even-strength assist in Wednesday's 3-0 win over the Golden Knights.
After setting up Fraser Minten for the game's opening goal in the first period, Nylander wired home a tally of his own early in the third. The 28-year-old has six multi-point performances in the last 11 contests, piling up eight goals and 15 points over that stretch. Nylander fell just short of his first career 100-point season in 2023-24 and has scored 40 goals in back-to-back campaigns, and both marks are very much in play for him this season.

Maple Leafs' William Nylander: PP sparks four-game point spree
Nylander scored a goal and added an assist in a 4-1 win over the Canadiens on Saturday.
He went coast-to-coast on the man advantage to score early in the second period. Nylander is on a four-game point streak, with all his points (three goals, three assists) coming on Toronto power plays. His 20.4 shooting percentage remains bloated well above his 12.6 career mark, so a goal regression is likely, but Nylander is still poised for his third straight 40-goal season.

Maple Leafs' William Nylander: Tied for NHL lead in goals
Nylander had a goal and an assist in a 4-0 win over Boston on Tuesday.
Snipers get lucky, and that was the case with Nylander, who wired a shot from along the goal line near the left corner that went off defender Brandon Carlo's leg at the top of the crease and past Jeremy Swayman. The goal was Nylander's 10th of the season, a tally that temporarily moves him into a multi-player tie for the NHL lead. Willie's 22.2 shooting percentage is nearly double his career mark of 12.6, so expect his sniping to slow. But enjoy the ride right now.

Toronto head coach Craig Berube shuffled lines and power-play units, and he reunited Willie with John Tavares at 5-on-5. Max Pacioretty joined them and the results were immediate. Together, they produced four goals and five assists. Nylander had gone three games without a point, but this outburst gives him 10 points, including six goals, in 10 games. Maple Leafs' William Nylander: Three-point outing Monday
Nylander recorded two even-strength goals and a power-play assist in Monday's 5-2 win over the Lightning.
Nylander went pointless in his first two games of the season, the same as Auston Matthews, but he's been on fire since then, notching five goals and seven total points over his last four appearances, including three multi-point games in that span. Nylander has scored at least 40 goals in back-to-back seasons and has recorded at least 80 points in three consecutive campaigns, so the slow start wasn't much of a concern for fantasy managers who trusted in him.
