Top David Pastrnak News

  • Bruins' David Pastrnak: Twenty points in last 15 games

Pastrnak had a goal and two assists in a 6-2 win over the Lightning on Tuesday.

It's the second straight, three-point game for Pasta, who has 48 points (20 goals, 28 assists) in 46 games, along with 187 shots. Pastrnak has also provided 20 points (10 goals, 10 assists) in his last 15 games. It's great to see him pick up his pace. The Bruins still need to find him a better pivot, but there's time before the deadline.

  • Bruins' David Pastrnak: Scores two goals Sunday

Pastrnak recorded two goals, five shots, two hits and one blocked shots in Sunday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Islanders.

Pastrnak had to wait until Jan. 4 to record his first multi-goal game of the season, but the star winger has now achieved the feat in back-to-back games. The 28-year-old is having a down year compared to his recent campaigns, as he was coming off three straight seasons with 40 goals, but he seems to be heating up. Pastrnak has 17 goals and 42 points in 42 contests, although he's found the back of the net five times over his last five outings.

  • Bruins' David Pastrnak: First multi-goal game of season

Pastrnak scored twice Saturday in a 6-4 loss to Toronto.

It was his first multi-goal game of the season. Pastrnak tied Brad Marchand for the fourth most multi-goal games in Bruins history with 65. Since his debut in 2014-15, Pasta is third in the NHL in multi-goal efforts behind Alex Ovechkin (92) and Auston Matthews (78). Still, Pasta hasn't been Pasta this season -- he has just 40 points in 41 games after putting up 113 and 110 points in his last two seasons. We can't help but think that Pastrnak's struggles this season are tied to his middling chemistry with center Elias Lindholm, who still hasn't found his feet in Boston and has just 20 points in 41 outings. Pastrnak needs to be in your lineup, but you should temper expectations unless the team gets him a new center.

For the season, he has 13 goals, 37 points, 151 shots on net, a minus-1 rating and 24 PIM through 38 appearances. He's still shooting just 8.6 percent, and combined with a slight drop in shot volume, Pastrnak is on pace to finish below the 40-goal mark for the first time in four years.

Pastrnak is doubtful to return to Monday's game against the Capitals due to an upper-body injury.

Pastrnak was not on the bench for the start of the third period, and at this point, his return seems unlikely. The star winger had one shot on goal in 9:00 of ice time before exiting. If Pastrnak is unable to return, he should benefit from three days off during the league's Christmas break.

  • Bruins' David Pastrnak: Two helpers in Saturday's win

Pastrnak picked up two assists, one on the power play, in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Sabres.

Pastrnak is just about back in his elite form after a tough start to the season -- over his last 12 games, the 28-year-old winger has produced four goals and 16 points with 47 shots on net.

Pastrnak scored a goal, distributed three assists and went plus-3 in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Canucks.

Pastrnak helped out on the Bruins' first three goals and then scored the team's last tally 26 seconds into the third period. He's gotten on the scoresheet in six of seven games in December, racking up three goals and seven assists. This was his first four-point effort of the campaign -- he didn't have one last year either, though he did earn three points on 14 occasions in 2023-24. Pastrnak is at 11 goals, 21 helpers, 127 shots on net and a minus-5 rating through 32 contests in 2024-25. He's never shot below 10.8 percent in any single season, but he's at just 8.7 percent so far this year, so he's due for some positive regression.

  • Bruins' David Pastrnak: Point streak at five games

Pastrnak scored a power-play goal in Tuesday's 8-1 loss to the Jets.

He buried a one-timer from the faceoff dot into the top corner midway through the second period, but it was just about the only bright spot for the Bruins on the night. Pastrnak has a five-game point streak going, and over the last 16 contests, he's collected four goals and 17 points. The 28-year-old winger's power-play tally was his first since Oct. 26, ending an uncharacteristic 20-game drought.

Bruins head coach Joe Sacco said that Pastrnak (upper body) will be in the lineup against Winnipeg on Tuesday, per Ken Wiebe of The Winnipeg Free Press.

Pastrnak was unable to participate in practice Monday, but he won't miss any game action. The star winger is riding a four-game point streak, and he's produced one goal and seven assists over his last six games. • Bruins' David Pastrnak: Dealing with upper-body injury

Interim head coach Joe Sacco said Monday that Pastrnak is dealing with an upper-body injury, Conor Ryan of The Boston Globe reports.

Pastrnak didn't participate in Monday's practice session, but the Bruins are hopeful that he'll be available for Tuesday's game against the Jets. The Bruins don't intend to bring an extra skater on their upcoming road trip, but Tyler Johnson could enter the lineup if Pastrnak is forced to miss any time. Pastrnak is on a four-game point streak to begin December, as he's logged a goal and four assists while averaging 21:29 of ice time over his last four appearances.

  • Bruins' David Pastrnak: Two helpers in Chicago

Pastrnak picked up two assists in Wednesday's 4-2 win over Chicago.

He helped set up both of Brad Marchand's tallies early in the second period to break open a 1-1 tie. Pastrnak stumbled a bit of the gates this season, but he's been more productive over the last month, piling up three goals and 15 points over the last 14 contests. He's still well off his usual goal-scoring pace with only nine tallies in 28 games, but the 28-year-old is more than capable of going on a tear that would get him in striking distance of his fourth straight 40-goal campaign.

  • Bruins' David Pastrnak: Ends seven-game drought

Pastrnak scored a goal on five shots and recorded one hit in Sunday's 6-3 win over Montreal.

Pastrnak made himself available and went top shelf over the stick-side shoulder of Cayden Primeau, who had just made a couple of nice stops. It was Pastrnak's team-leading ninth goal and snapped a seven-game goal drought, the second time this season he's gone that long without scoring. The 28-year-old forward entered Sunday's tilt with a 3.3 shooting percentage over the last 16 outings.

  • Bruins' David Pastrnak: Gathers helper in win

Pastrnak notched an assist and two shots on goal in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Red Wings.

Pastrnak has been limited to two assists over his last four games, though he's racked up 11 shots on net in that span. The 28-year-old winger has been fine this season with eight goals, 19 points, 89 shots, 18 PIM and a minus-3 rating over 22 appearances. His role shouldn't change under interim head coach Joe Sacco -- Pastrnak is a lock for top-six minutes and power-play time as one of the Bruins' few reliable forwards this season.

  • Bruins' David Pastrnak: Leads charge in comeback win

Pastrnak scored the game-winning goal and added an assist in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Blues.

The Bruins were down 2-0 heading into the third period, but the 28-year-old superstar took matters into his own hands down the stretch. After stealing the puck in the neutral zone and feeding Morgan Geekie for Boston's first goal early in the final frame, Pastrnak completed the comeback with 1:47 left, blasting a one-timer from the top of the faceoff circle that just squeaked through Jordan Binnington. Pastrnak snapped a seven-game goal drought with the game-winner, but he was far from invisible during that time, collecting six assists. On the season, he's racked up seven goals and 16 points in 17 contests, a disappointing pace considering he's coming off back-to-back campaigns with 110 points or more.
