McDavid recorded three assists, two shots on goal, three hits, two blocked shots and a plus-3 rating in Wednesday's 6-1 win over the Hurricanes. McDavid set up Mattias Ekholm for a tap-in early in the first period and added helpers on the last two goals of Zach Hyman's hat trick. A five-day break between games didn't stop McDavid's momentum -- he has four goals and 15 assists during his seven-game point streak. The 26-year-old is back in form after a rough first quarter of the campaign. He's produced 32 points (14 on the power play), 58 shots on net, 30 hits, 15 blocked shots and a minus-1 rating over 21 appearances.... See More ... See Less

Oilers' Connor McDavid: Snags power-play assist
McDavid recorded a power-play assist, three hits and two PIM in Thursday's 3-1 win over the Jets. McDavid set up Leon Draisaitl's go-ahead goal with 2:13 left in the contest. While it wasn't a multi-point effort, McDavid extended his point streak to six games. In that span, he has four goals and 12 assists, and he's racked up six power-play helpers over the last four games. The 26-year-old has 29 points, 56 shots on net, 27 hits and a minus-4 rating through 20 contests overall, but it's his recent play that's most encouraging after the Oilers' difficult start to the campaign.... Oilers' Connor McDavid: Leads team with three points
McDavid scored a goal on two shots, dished two assists and added two PIM in Tuesday's 5-4 shootout win over the Golden Knights. McDavid once again led the charge, earning his third straight game with three-plus points. He also had a tally in the shootout help the Oilers secure the win. McDavid is up to 12 points across his last three games, and he's now at eight goals, 20 helpers, 55 shots on net, 24 hits, 12 PIM and a minus-4 rating through 19 outings overall.... See More ... Oilers' Connor McDavid: Erupts for five more points
McDavid scored a goal on four shots, dished four assists, went plus-3 and blocked two shots in Sunday's 8-2 win over the Ducks. McDavid's tally tied the game at 2-2, and he proceeded to assist on four of the next five goals, including one on the power play. He's gone from a mild slump to nine points over his last two contests, looking much more like the player fantasy managers expected if they had the privilege of selecting first overall in their drafts. For the year, McDavid is up to seven goals, 18 assists, 53 shots on net, 24 hits, 13 blocked shots and a minus-4 rating over 18 appearances.... See More ... See Less -
Oilers' Connor McDavid: Four apples keep Caps away
McDavid had a four-assist game Friday in a 5-0 win over Washington. Three of the four came on the power play. McDavid is on a quiet, three-game streak (two goals, five assists). Much has been rumored that McDavid 'doesn't look right' this season, whatever that means. His scoring has been way down, but this streak has shot him up to 20 points in 17 games. Buckle up, folks. McSavior might be back.... See More ... See Less -
Oilers' Connor McDavid: Earns 10th assist
McDavid logged an assist, three blocked shots, two PIM and a minus-3 rating in Wednesday's 6-3 loss to the Hurricanes. McDavid is starting to look more like himself again with four goals and two assists over his last five games, but he's taken a minus-4 rating in that span. The 26-year-old is up to 16 points, 47 shots on net, 23 hits, 11 blocked shots, 10 PIM and a minus-8 rating through 16 appearances. It's unclear how much -- if at all -- he's being bothered by the upper-body injury that cost him two appearances earlier in the season.... See More ... See Less -
Oilers' Connor McDavid: Two tallies in Monday's loss
McDavid scored two goals, one on a penalty shot, in Monday's 5-3 loss to the Panthers. He gave the Oilers a 1-0 lead early in the first period and a 3-2 lead early in the second, but the team's offense dried up the rest of the way. It was the first multi-goal performance of the season for McDavid, who has a disappointing (by his standards) six goals and 15 points in 15 games, but he's lit the lamp four times in the last four contests as he begins to heat up.... Oilers' Connor McDavid: Opens scoring in second period
McDavid scored a goal on three shots, added two hits and went plus-3 in Wednesday's 4-3 overtime win over the Kraken. McDavid has bounced back from a three-game point drought with three points over his last two outings. The 26-year-old is operating at a point-per-game pace with four goals, nine assists, 40 shots on net, 21 hits and a minus-2 rating through 13 contests so far. While that's a little light compared to expectations, McDavid has plenty of time to get himself back among the league leaders in scoring.... See More ... See Less -
Oilers' Connor McDavid: Goal, assist in win
McDavid tallied a goal and added an assist in Monday's 4-1 win over the Islanders. Both of McDavid's points came on the power play Monday, setting up Zach Hyman in the third period before adding a goal later in the frame, his first since Oct. 17. The two-point effort snaps a rare scoring slump for the reigning Hart Trophy winner -- McDavid had gone scoreless in his last four contests and registered just two assists over six contests since returning from a two-game absence. Despite his cold spell, McDavid is still on a point-per-game pace, with three goals and 12 points through his first 12 appearances this season.... See More ... See Less -
Oilers' Connor McDavid: Picks up helper Saturday
McDavid notched a power-play assist, three shots on goal, four hits and a minus-2 rating in Saturday's 5-2 loss to the Predators. McDavid didn't let his first scoreless outing (Thursday versus Dallas) turn into a skid, as he delivered a helper on a Zach Hyman tally in the second period. It's been five appearances without a goal for McDavid, but he has five assists in that span. For the season, the superstar is at two goals, eight assists, 23 shots on net, 16 hits and a minus-4 rating through eight contests.... See More ... See Less -
Oilers' Connor McDavid: Grabs assist in return
McDavid (upper body) logged an assist in 23:26 of ice time in Sunday's 5-2 win over the Flames. McDavid ultimately missed just two games after suffering an upper-body injury on Oct. 21 against Winnipeg. The 26-year-old center picked up an assist on Evan Bouchard's goal late in the first period. McDavid now has at least one point in all six of his games this year -- he's up to two goals and seven assists after leading the NHL with a staggering 153 points (64 goals, 89 assists) in the 2022-23 campaign.... Oilers' Connor McDavid: Good to go Sunday
McDavid (upper body) will return to the lineup for Sunday's Heritage Classic against the Flames, Daniel Nugent-Bowman of The Athletic reports. McDavid missed two games but is set to return just in time for Sunday's outdoor rivalry matchup. The 26-year-old center has been his usual productive self early this season, racking up eight points in five contests. He'll slide back into his role as the top-line center and main playmaker on the man advantage.... See More ... See Less -
Oilers' Connor McDavid: Game-time decision
McDavid (upper body) will be a game-time decision Sunday against Calgary, per Tony Brar of Oilers TV. All signs point to him being ready to play, but coach Jay Woodcroft chose not to confirm that McDavid would be in the lineup for the Heritage Classic during Edmonton's media availability. If McDavid returns Sunday from a two-game absence, he's projected to play alongside Leon Draisaitl and Warren Foegele.... See More ... See Less -
Oilers' Connor McDavid: Looks good at practice
McDavid (upper body) participated in a full practice at Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton on Saturday, but head coach Jay Woodcroft wouldn't commit to the 26-year-old being in the lineup for Sunday's Heritage Classic versus the Flames, Daniel Nugent-Bowman of The Athletic reports. McDavid looked good and participated in all drills during the practice, which suggests he may be on the probable side of day-to-day. Still, Woodcroft said a final decision will be made based on how McDavid feels Sunday, which makes this essentially a game-time decision. With four games on Sunday's schedule, fantasy managers in daily formats should have plenty of room to have him active.... See More ... See Less -
Oilers' Connor McDavid: Uncertain for Sunday
McDavid (upper body) skated for a second straight day Friday, Mark Spector of Sportsnet reports. When asked about McDavid's status for Sunday's Heritage Classic versus Calgary after practice, coach Jay Woodcroft said, "He had a good day (skating) today. I wouldn't rule him out (for Sunday), but I'm not ready to say either way. We've got time." It sounds like McDavid's status for Sunday's contest could boil down to a game-time decision, so managers playing in leagues with daily lineup changes should plan on paying close attention ahead of puck drop. The 26-year-old pivot has racked up two goals and eight points through five games this season.... See More ... See Less -
Oilers' Connor McDavid: Resumes skating
McDavid (upper body) won't return for Thursday's game versus the Rangers, but he has resumed skating, Daniel Nugent-Bowman of The Athletic reports. McDavid's status for Sunday's Heritage Classic against Calgary hasn't been determined yet, but coach Jay Woodcroft plans to give an update following Thursday's contest. McDavid has two goals and six points through five appearances this year. Edmonton didn't have him Tuesday and suffered a 7-4 loss to Minnesota, bringing the Oilers' record down to 1-4-1.... Oilers' Connor McDavid: Missing at least one week
McDavid suffered an upper-body injury Saturday versus the Jets and is expected to miss 1-2 weeks. McDavid's injury currently doesn't sound too severe, but he will miss some time. Fantasy managers should reasonably expect him to be out for the next three games versus the Wild, Rangers and Flames at a minimum. The Oilers will likely bring Adam Erne back into the lineup, while Warren Foegele and Mattias Janmark could see extra minutes in the middle six.... See More ... See Less -
Oilers' Connor McDavid: Receives medical attention postgame
McDavid was unavailable to the media after Saturday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Jets, as he was receiving attention from the training staff, Daniel Nugent-Bowman of The Athletic reports. Ken Wiebe of The Winnipeg Free Press reports McDavid was clutching his back or hip during the latter half of the third period. He didn't see the ice late in the third or in overtime. Early in the game, McDavid had a pair of assists, giving him two goals and eight points through five outings this season. More information on his status should surface before Tuesday's road game in Minnesota.... See More ... See Less -
Oilers' Connor McDavid: Chips in with helper
McDavid recorded an assist in Thursday's 4-1 loss to the Flyers. McDavid has gotten on the scoresheet in all four games this season, though he's yet to have a truly explosive performance. He has two goals, four helpers, 12 shots on net and eight hits. Thursday's outing was the first time he's gone without a shot this season, something that only happened once in 2022-23.... Oilers' Connor McDavid: Goal and assist in win
McDavid scored a goal and an assist on two shots in the Oilers' 6-1 win over the Predators on Tuesday. McDavid scored yet another highlight reel goal, where he fell to the ice and spun around before retrieving the puck and beating Juuse Saros to give the Oilers a 4-0 lead. He would also add an assist on Leon Draisaitl's second power-play goal. Coming off a monster 153-point season, McDavid is off to yet another hot start with five points in three games.... See More ...
