Rantanen is on an absolute tear -- he has scored or assisted on 15 of the Stars' last 16 goals. The all-world winger was held off the scoresheet in a shutout loss in Game 2, but over the last six games, Rantanen has amassed nine goals and eight helpers. He had two primary assists before scoring himself to stretch Dallas' lead to 4-2 in the final frame Sunday. The 28-year-old leads the NHL in postseason scoring with nine goals and 18 points over 10 outings.

Over the final 12:11 of the contest, Rantanen pulled the Stars back from the brink, and he did so against his former team. Per Sportsnet, he is the first player in NHL playoff history with a third-period, Game 7 hat trick. This was also his second consecutive four-point performance, and the winger finished the round with five goals, seven assists, 24 shots on net, 10 hits, eight blocked shots and a minus-1 rating over seven appearances. Now that his offense is looking lively, Rantanen is well-positioned to be a leader for the Stars in the second round.

Rantanen has picked up a goal and five assists over six outings in April. Rantanen tallied the primary helper on linemate Jason Robertson's opening goal in the first period. Overall, the 28-year-old Rantanen is up to 53 assists, 84 points and 205 shots on goal across 77 appearances this season. The superstar is currently tied for 12th in points across the league with Montreal's Nick Suzuki. Stars' Mikko Rantanen: Tallies assist in return to Denver
Rantanen registered an assist and added two shots on goal in Sunday's 4-3 overtime loss to Colorado.
Rantanen's return to Denver might not have resulted in a win, but he played strong offensively with an assist on linemate Jason Robertson's goal to open the scoring Sunday. The 28-year-old Rantanen now has 45 assists, 74 points and 185 shots on net in 66 games this season. He has four points in his four games with the Stars and has slotted in nicely alongside Robertson and Roope Hintz on the top line for Dallas. Rantanen ranks 13th in the league in points and should provide top-tier value in fantasy for the rest of the season. He might not be on pace for another 100-point campaign, but Rantanen is certainly within reach to cash in another 85-to-90-point season.
