  • Maple Leafs' Mitchell Marner: Records two assists

Marner garnered a pair of helpers in Sunday's 4-3 overtime win over the Wild. Marner has notched three assists in his last two games but is stuck in a five-game goal drought. During his slump, the winger generated 10 shots on goal along with six blocked shots and four hits. With his role on the power play, Marner should break out of his drought sooner rather than later, though he remains a high-end playmaker rather than a pure scorer.

  • Maple Leafs' Mitchell Marner: Back at it with power-play helper

Marner dialed up a power-play assist in Friday's 3-2 win over the Red Wings as part of the Global Series in Sweden. Marner was uncharacteristically held without a point in three straight games leading up to this special contest in Stockholm. But fear not, as the electrifying puck prodigy -- already with five goals and 13 assists -- remains on pace for 92 points during his eighth season with the Maple Leafs. Additionally, Marner is averaging a career-high 3:36 of ice time on the power play, adding a goal and six helpers in those key situations. The Leafs now look ahead to Sunday's clash with the Wild to close out the Global Series.

  • Maple Leafs' Mitchell Marner: Has another four-point game

Marner netted a goal and registered three assists in a 6-5 overtime victory over Tampa Bay on Monday. Marner not only extended his scoring streak to seven games, but he also supplied his second straight four-point performance. Through 12 outings this year, the 26-year-old has five goals and 17 points. He just barely missed the 100-point milestone in 2018-19 (94 points), 2021-22 (97) and 2022-23 (99). As long as he stays healthy, there's a good chance this will be the season Marner crosses the century mark.

  • Maple Leafs' Mitchell Marner: Massive four-point game

Marner scored a goal and added three assists in Saturday's 6-4 loss to Buffalo. Marner opened the scoring in the first, roofing the puck with a lightning release on a breakaway after taking a stretch pass from Calle Jarnkrok. Marner then set up all three of Auston Matthews' goals. It's his first multi-point game since Oct. 14 (nine contests). The 26-year-old is on a six-game, nine-point scoring streak that includes six apples. This outburst comes at a great time for fantasy managers who've had to be patient while they waited for Marner and Matthews to show off their chemistry.

  • Maple Leafs' Mitchell Marner: Third goal of season

Marner scored a goal Thursday in a 3-2 shootout loss to the Bruins. It's just the third goal for Marner, and it stretched his current point streak to five games and five points (two goals, three assists). It was nice to see Marner fire three shots because he'd gone the four games prior with just a single shot. His shooting percentage (12.0) is a bit off his 15.3 mark from last season and 15.6 percent from 2020-21. Marner's luck should change soon.

  • Maple Leafs' Mitchell Marner: Provides power-play assist

Marner notched a power-play assist in Tuesday's 4-1 loss to the Kings. Marner set up John Tavares' third-period marker. The helper extended Marner's point streak to four games (one goal, three assists) as he continues to shake off some early inconsistency. The 26-year-old winger has two goals, six helpers, 22 shots on net and a minus-1 rating through nine outings. He's also shooting a mere 9.1 percent -- his previous low over a full season is 10.4, so there's some room for improvement in efficiency.

  • Maple Leafs' Mitchell Marner: Finds twine in win

Marner scored a goal and added two PIM in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Stars. Marner tallied late in the second period, and his goal stood as the game-winner. The 26-year-old has two goals and an assist over his last four outings while adding 13 shots in that span. For the season, he has six points, 20 shots, four PIM and an even plus-minus rating. He's topped 90 points three times in his career, and with the strength of Toronto's offense, he should be able to chip in at a higher rate as the season progresses.

  • Maple Leafs' Mitchell Marner: Slow start to season

Marner picked up a power-play assist in a 4-1 win over the Capitals on Tuesday. Marner dug the puck out of the corner and fed Auston Matthews in the left circle, and he made no mistake on a one-timer that went top cheddar past Darcy Kuemper. Marner is off to a relatively slow start, at least for him. He has one goal and four assists in six games so far. But that isn't likely to last long. A breakout is coming.

  • Maple Leafs' Mitchell Marner: Three assists in first two games

Marner picked up two assists in a 7-4 win over Minnesota on Saturday. Marner set up two of Auston Matthews' three goals on the night. He almost had his first goal of 2023-24 after a dancing rush down the right wing in the third, but that chance was thwarted. The talented playmaker has three assists through two games this season.

  • Maple Leafs' Mitchell Marner: Two points including game-winner

Marner had a goal and a power-play assist in Wednesday's 2-1 Game 4 win over the Panthers. Marner helped William Nylander open the scoring in the second period, then he lit the lamp himself to double that lead halfway through the third with what turned out to be the game-winner. While Marner's up to 14 points in 10 games this postseason, only three of those have come in the four games against Florida, and his pedestrian production is one of the leading reasons that Toronto trails the series 3-1 heading into Game 5 at home Friday.

  • Maple Leafs' Mitchell Marner: Squeezing stick as games tighten

Marner got a power-play assist Thursday in a 3-2 loss to the Panthers in Game 2. The game started well for the Leafs, who looked dominating early in the first. The top power-play unit moved the puck quickly and effectively, and Marner fed Ryan O'Reilly a cross-ice pass that he slammed home. But the game tilted the Panthers way from that point forward. And despite six shots -- the same number he'd fired over the previous three games -- Marner couldn't solve a suddenly-hot Sergei Bobrovsky. He just couldn't make something happen. The Panthers lead the series 2-0 heading home for Game 3. Marner and his teammates need to add some urgency to their game or this could be a short series.

  • Maple Leafs' Mitchell Marner: Extends streak despite tough outing

Marner picked up an assist Thursday in a 4-2 loss to the Lightning in Game 5. Marner stretched his point streak to five games and 11 points (two goals, nine assists), but he struggled on the night. He was stymied on a breakaway and seemed to struggle under heavy checking. Still, Marner is tied with Roope Hintz for the NHL scoring lead. He should be better Saturday when the Leafs meet the Bolts in Game 6 in Tampa Bay.

  • Maple Leafs' Mitchell Marner: Gets two helpers Monday

Marner collected two assists in a 5-4 overtime victory over Tampa Bay in Game 4 on Monday. Marner has been one of the standout performers in the first round, supplying two goals and 10 points in four outings. That's on top of the 30 goals and career-high 99 points he provided in 80 regular-season contests. Toronto's up 3-1 in its series against Tampa Bay and will be looking for continued success from Marner on Thursday in order to seal the deal.

  • Maple Leafs' Mitchell Marner: Leads NHL in postseason scoring

Marner had two assists in a 4-3 overtime win over the Lightning on Saturday in Game 3. Marner leads the NHL with eight points (two goals, six assists) in three games this postseason. That's two better than Leon Draisaitl of the Oilers and Adam Fox of the Rangers, who both have six. And he and his mates delivered the win, even when they were outplayed for big chunks of Saturday's game. Marner is among the best in the NHL, hands down.

  • Maple Leafs' Mitchell Marner: Another dominant performance

Marner scored twice and had an assist in a 7-2 win over the Lightning in Game 2. Marner quickly helped Toronto fans forget about Tuesday's Game 1 loss with a power-play goal 47 seconds into the game. He wired a slapshot from above the right face-off circle through a screen that Andrei Vasilevskiy couldn't see or stop. Marner added another in the second to push the score to 6-1. He's the first player in Maple Leafs history with six points through the first two games of a single postseason.

  • Maple Leafs' Mitchell Marner: Bright spot in Game 1 loss

Marner dished out three assists -- two on the power play -- in Tuesday's 7-3 Game 1 loss to the Lightning Marner had a hand in all three of Toronto's goals. Back-to-back power-play markers in the second period allowed the Maple Leafs to pull back within one, but Tampa Bay then scored four unanswered goals before Marner got his third point. At least this performance should give Marner -- who has only seven goals in 39 career playoff games -- some confidence heading into Game 2 on Thursday.

Marner (rest) returned to action Thursday in a 3-2 win over Rangers. He did not register a point and had just one shot. The forward finished one point shy of his first 100-point season. Marner (rest) won't play Tuesday versus the Lightning, David Alter of Sports Illustrated reports. Marner has supplied 30 goals, 69 assists and 195 shots on net in 79 contests this campaign. He should get a chance to hit the 100-point mark for the first time in his NHL career in Toronto's regular-season finale versus the Rangers on Thursday.
