Tanev (illness) will be a game-time decision versus Los Angeles on Saturday, Mike Benton of the Kraken Audio Network reports.
Tanev participated in Saturday's morning skate after missing Thursday's game against the Jets. The 33-year-old is in the final season of a six-year, $21 million contract he signed with Pittsburgh in July of 2019. Tanev has eight goals, seven assists, 96 hits and 75 blocked shots across 44 games this campaign. If Tanev is good to return, Tye Kartye will be scratched.

The Kraken scored the last six goals of the contest, with Tanev putting the cherry on top with his empty-netter. This goal was his first since Dec. 8, and he snapped a 10-game point drought in the process. The 33-year-old winger often isn't very productive on offense while playing a bottom-six role. While head coach Dan Bylsma didn't specify that Tanev is dealing with an issue, he said before Sunday's matchup that some players would be game-time decisions due to injuries, and the 32-year-old was excluded from the lineup.
