  • Red Wings' Lucas Raymond: Extends goal streak

Raymond stretched his goal streak to four games with a tally in Wednesday's 4-0 win over the Devils. Raymond has eight goals and six helpers through 18 games. A shooting percentage of 20.0 shows that he's sniping with pinpoint accuracy, but he could be on another level if only for improved efficiency on the power play. Raymond has generated a single goal and assist on the man advantage. Fantasy managers should keep in mind that he's only 21 years old with plenty of upside.

  • Red Wings' Lucas Raymond: Goal streak at three games

Raymond scored his seventh goal of the season in Friday's 3-2 loss to the Maple Leafs. The third-year winger found the back of the net for the third straight game late in the second period, giving the Red Wings a 2-0 lead that slipped away in the third. Six of Raymond's goals on the campaign have come in the last 10 contests, a stretch in which he's produced eight points in total. He seems to be putting his sophomore slump behind him -- the 21-year-old is well on his way to topping the 23 goals and 57 points he racked up as a rookie in 2021-22.

  • Red Wings' Lucas Raymond: Sets tone for Wings in victory

Raymond opened the scoring in Saturday's 5-4 win over the Blue Jackets. Raymond crafted a wrap-around goal that required some initial juking before throwing goalie Spencer Martin out of position. The Red Wings are bound for Raymond's home country of Sweden for the NHL Global Series, which will commence Thursday against the Senators and also includes the Wild and Maple Leafs for a total of four games between the clubs.

  • Red Wings' Lucas Raymond: Two points in Saturday's win

Raymond scored a power-play goal and recorded an even-strength assist in Saturday's 5-4 win over the Bruins. He opened the scoring for Detroit late in the first period after a slick cross-ice feed from Dylan Larkin found Raymond wide open in front of Linus Ullmark, and the third-year winger returned the favor in the third as his pass in the neutral zone sprung Larkin for a rush that resulted in the Red Wings' third goal. Raymond had a bit of a sophomore slump last season, but he's flying to begin the 2023-24 campaign with four goals and 10 points through 12 games.

  • Red Wings' Lucas Raymond: Continues strong start

Raymond scored the overtime winner and provided an assist in Detroit's 4-3 overtime victory over the Islanders on Monday. Raymond had 45 points in 74 contests as a sophomore in 2022-23, which was a step down from his 57-point rookie campaign, but the stage might be set for a bounce-back season. He's certainly on the right track, providing three goals and eight points in 10 outings this year. The one point of concern is Raymond's playing on the second power-play unit instead of the first and has been limited to one assist with the man advantage as a result. By contrast, the 21-year-old finished last season with 19 power-play points while serving in a bigger special-teams role. So far, that hasn't hindered his overall offensive production this year, but we'll have to see if that changes for the worse as the season drags on.

  • Red Wings' Lucas Raymond: Distributes three assists

Raymond notched three assists, two shots on goal and a plus-4 rating in Sunday's 6-2 win over the Flames. Life alongside Dylan Larkin and Alex DeBrincat got a little brighter for Raymond with his big effort Sunday. He helped out on all three of DeBrincat's goals in the game. Raymond has a goal, four assists, 14 shots on net and a plus-5 rating through six outings. While he's not enjoying the overall success of his linemates as much, the 21-year-old winger remains a strong option for fantasy given his current role.

  • Red Wings' Lucas Raymond: Shifts to top line Saturday

Raymond will be on the top line for Saturday's home opener against the Lightning, Ansar Khan of MLive.com reports. Raymond's ascension to the top line bumps veteran David Perron down in the lineup, but the experiment evidently is intended to put a spark in the Dylan Larkin and Alex DeBrincat pairing, which Red Wings coach Derek Lalonde "isn't quite sold on," per Khan. Raymond could use a boost himself, as he was denied on his lone shot attempt and failed to record a helper in Thursday's 4-3 Opening Night loss to the Devils.

  • Red Wings' Lucas Raymond: Three helpers in wild loss

Raymond recorded three assists, two of them on the power play, in Thursday's 7-6 shootout loss to the Sabres. He found the scoresheet in each regulation period, with his final helper setting up David Perron with a minute left in the third and forcing overtime. Raymond has had something of a sophomore slump this season, but over the last 15 games he's racked up two goals and 11 points, including five assists on the power play, and the 21-year-old could be gearing up for a breakout in 2023-24.

  • Red Wings' Lucas Raymond: Two PP helpers Sunday

Raymond collected two power-play assists in Sunday's 5-3 win over the Bruins. The 20-year-old winger had only one goal and zero helpers in seven games since returning from a lower-body injury, but Raymond made an impact Sunday by recording his first multi-point performance since Jan. 12. It's been a disappointing sophomore campaign overall for him, and while his future remains bright, Raymond has just 16 goals and 36 points through 58 games in 2022-23.

  • Red Wings' Lucas Raymond: Breaks out of slump

Raymond scored an equalizer in Wednesday's eventual 4-3 win over the Blackhawks. The crafty second-year winger deflected a shot from Robert Hagg to knot the score at three goals apiece late in the third frame. Raymond missed eight games with a lower-body injury --- plus, he went without a point in the five games following his activation from injured reserve -- but his clutch game-tying tally along with five shots in this latest contest should renew his confidence moving forward.

  • Red Wings' Lucas Raymond: Slated to return Monday

Raymond (lower body) is likely to be available for Monday's road clash against the Senators, Ansar Khan of MLive.com reports. Raymond has missed the past eight games with his injury. As a rookie, the winger appeared in all 82 games, and he was often the talk of the town en route to 23 goals and 34 assists. Coach Derek Lalonde seems quite optimistic about the skilled winger returning for the next contest. "He had a really good skate today," Lalonde said Sunday. "We'll talk to our medical staff to see how he responds from it. But I'd be surprised if he's not available for tomorrow." Fantasy managers counting on Raymond should look out for his eventual activation from injured reserve as the biggest clue that he'll be fit to return.

  • Red Wings' Lucas Raymond: Practicing Friday

Raymond (lower body) was at practice Friday, according to Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press. Raymond has missed the last seven games, but he's getting close to a return. Raymond was outstanding in his rookie season, scoring 23 goals and adding 34 assists in 2021-22, but he has had the proverbial 'sophomore jinx' this season, scoring just 15 goals with 18 assists. Consider him day-to-day at this time.

Raymond (lower body) won't play Tuesday against Washington, Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press reports. Raymond, who will sit out a sixth straight game Tuesday, skated before Monday's practice, Coach Derek Lalonde hopes to get the 20-year-old forward back in the lineup Thursday against the Rangers. Raymond (lower body) is not expected to play Monday against Vancouver, Red Wings' play-by-play announcer Ken Kal reports. Rayamon, who is considered day-to-day, didn't take part in Monday's morning skate. He will miss a second straight contest after getting hurt in a collision with teammate Ben Chiarot during Friday's practice. Raymond has racked up 15 goals, 33 points and 87 shots on net in 50 games this season. Dominik Kubalik is projected to play alongside Dylan Larkin and Tyler Bertuzzi.

  • Red Wings' Lucas Raymond: Ruled out Saturday

Raymond (lower body) will miss Saturday's game against the Canucks, Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press reports. This is the first career absence for Raymond, a talented second-year winger who has registered 15 goals and 18 assists through 50 games. Look for Dominik Kubalik, who was scratched from Thursday's win over the Flames, to slot back in against the Canucks. Raymond is considered day-to-day with a lower-body injury that surfaced in Friday's practice.

  • Red Wings' Lucas Raymond: Suffers injury in practice

Raymond (lower body) is day-to-day after colliding with teammate Ben Chiarot in practice Friday, Red Wings' reporter Carley Johnston reports. Raymond limped off the ice after the incident. The fourth overall pick in the 2020 Draft, Raymond had 23 goals and 57 points last season, but got off to a slow start this season with only two assists in his first seven games. Raymond has 15 goals and 33 points in 50 games this season, including five goals and 14 points on the power play.

  • Red Wings' Lucas Raymond: Late goal not enough

Raymond was the lone scorer for the Wings in Saturday's 2-1 loss to the Flyers. Raymond converted a rebound at the doorstep, but by that time, only 41.6 seconds remained in the contest and the Wings ended up falling short. Still, it's been a remarkable run for Raymond, as the second-year winger has brushed twine in five of the past seven games.

  • Red Wings' Lucas Raymond: Stays hot with opening tally

Raymond scored a goal in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Golden Knights. Raymond has four goals and four assists over his last six contests. The 20-year-old winger started off a bit slow this season, but he's getting back on track in the middle of the campaign. He's up to 14 tallies, 31 points, 75 shots on net and a minus-5 rating through 44 appearances.
