  • Predators' Luke Evangelista: Scores in shootout win

Evangelista scored a goal on two shots in Tuesday's 4-3 shootout victory over Chicago. Evangelista got Nashville on the board early in the second period, cleaning up a rebound to tie the game at 1-1. The 21-year-old winger had cooled off coming into Tuesday's game, tallying just one assist in his previous five contests. Still, Evangelista has held down a spot on Nashville's second line while also averaging 2:45 with the man advantage. Overall, he has four goals and 14 points through 24 games in his sophomore NHL campaign.

  • Predators' Luke Evangelista: Big three-point effort carries win

Evangelista scored twice and had an assist in a 8-3 victory over the Blues on Friday. Evangelista first goal came in the first when a pass caromed of a skate in the slot and straight onto his stick where he was standing at the side of the net. He made no mistake. He then made it 6-1 in the second on his own rebound from the slot. After a slow start to the season, Evanglista has put up 12 points (three goals, nine assists) in his last 14 games, so knock on wood that he'll avoid the dreaded sophomore slump.

  • Predators' Luke Evangelista: Strong rookie season continues

Evangelista registered an assist and three shots in Saturday's 7-5 loss to the Coyotes. Don't look now, but the 21-year-old Evangelista is currently tied for third in the NHL's rookie scoring race with nine points in 14 games. He's skating on the team's second line alongside Thomas Novak and Kiefer Sherwood with an average TOI of 15:33, including 3:22 on the power play. Given that he's currently on pace to crack the 50-point mark this season, he makes for an attractive waiver-wire pickup in most formats.

  • Predators' Luke Evangelista: Three points against Blues

Evangelista scored a goal and added two assists, one on the power play, in Saturday's 6-1 win over St. Louis. Both helpers came in the first period before Evangelista banged home a tally of his own midway through the second. The 2020 second-round pick snapped a five-game point drought with the performance, but the last time he hit the scoresheet was his four-point bonanza against Buffalo on March 21. Evangelista is proving his upside as he gets a look in a top-six role for the injury-ravaged Predators; the next step for the 21-year-old is to develop some consistency. Through his first 17 NHL games, he has six goals and 12 points.
