Clarke logged an assist, two PIM and a plus-3 rating in Thursday's 5-1 win over the Canucks.
Clarke's offense has dipped with the rest of the Kings' scoring in January -- he has just two assists over six games this month after finishing December with five assists over seven contests. The defenseman is up to three goals, 20 helpers, 82 shots on net, 75 blocked shots, 30 PIM and a plus-12 rating through 42 outings overall. Clarke continues to see steady power-play time and remains in a bottom-four role at even strength.

Kings' Brandt Clarke: Sets up game-winner
Clarke notched an assist in Friday's 2-1 overtime win over the Jets.
The Kings dressed seven defensemen again Friday, but with Joel Edmundson (undisclosed) out, it looked like head coach Jim Hiller really only trusted five of his blueliners. Clarke is firmly in that group, as evidenced by his presence on the ice in overtime when he set up Adrian Kempe for the game-winning goal. Clarke has six helpers over his last 10 outings and is now at 22 points, 79 shots on net, 68 blocked shots and a plus-9 rating through 39 appearances this season.

Kings' Brandt Clarke: Pockets helper in win
Clarke notched an assist and two blocked shots in Sunday's 5-4 win over the Flyers.
Clarke has logged five helpers over his last seven outings, including an assist in three straight contests. The 21-year-old defenseman is up to 21 points, 72 shots on net, 65 blocked shots, 22 PIM and a plus-6 rating through 36 appearances. Drew Doughty (ankle) remains on track to debut some time shortly after the start of January, but that shouldn't cost Clarke his spot in the lineup even if the Kings switch away from deploying seven defensemen.

Clarke notched a power-play assist, three shots on goal and a minus-2 rating in Sunday's 3-1 loss to the Capitals.
Clarke had the secondary helper on Kevin Fiala's goal in the second period. With three assists over his last five games, Clarke has gotten back on track after starting December cold. The 21-year-old defenseman is up to 19 points (seven on the power play), 71 shots on net, 60 blocked shots, 22 PIM and a plus-4 rating through 34 outings overall. He continues to see top-four minutes and a spot on the first power-play unit.

Clarke had been held off the scoresheet over his previous five games, his second slump of that length in the last month. He's slowed down from his early scoring pace, and his ice time has dropped due to the Kings regularly deploying seven defensemen lately. The 21-year-old is at three goals, 14 assists, 65 shots on net, 58 blocked shots, 22 PIM and a plus-6 rating over 30 appearances. He still has some upside because of his power-play role, but Clarke has been a gamble offensively.

Clarke notched an assist and three shots on goal in Wednesday's 4-1 win over the Jets.
Clarke had a shot attempt redirected in by Kevin Fiala in the third period. With two points over his last two games, Clarke appears to have moved past a five-game slump. The 21-year-old defenseman remains in a top-four role and now has three goals, 12 helpers, 53 shots on net, 47 blocked shots, 20 PIM and a plus-4 rating over 23 outings this season. He'll likely remain productive as long as he can maintain a power-play role.

Clarke scored a goal on three shots in Monday's 7-2 loss to the Sharks.
Clarke tied the game at 1-1 with a tally in the second period. The goal ended his five-game point drought. Clarke is up to three tallies, 14 points, 50 shots on net, 47 blocked shots, 20 PIM and a plus-3 rating over 22 appearances. The 21-year-old blueliner may still have some growing pains in his first full campaign, but there have been no questions about his place in the lineup in 2024-25.

Clarke scored a power-plat empty-net goal on four shots and added four blocked shots in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Blue Jackets.
Clarke had been limited to one assist over the first four games of November after surging with seven points across the last four contests of October. The 21-year-old was able to put the cherry on top of the Kings' win Saturday with his second tally of the season. The defenseman has 13 points (six on the power play), 34 shots on net, 35 blocked shots, 18 PIM and a plus-2 rating over 16 outings. He looks to be here to stay in the NHL and has a good chance of producing a breakout campaign in his first full season.

Kings' Brandt Clarke: Distributes three more helpers
Clarke produced three assists and two shots on goal in Wednesday's 6-3 win over the Golden Knights.
One of Clarke's helpers came on the power play. The 21-year-old is attempting to launch himself to star status quickly -- he has earned a goal and six helpers during his four-game point streak. Overall, he's at one goal, 10 assists, 21 shots on net, 19 blocked shots, 12 PIM and a plus-2 rating through 11 contests. He's tied with Josh Morrissey for fourth in points by defensemen this season, trailing only Cale Makar (19), Neal Pionk (12) and Alex Pietrangelo (12).

He got his first goal of 2024-25 during a second-period power play for the Kings. Clarke has three points (one goal, two assists) in his last two games and seven, including six assists, in nine contests this season. His six helpers have him tied with Anze Kopitar for the team lead. Clarke had a game-high four blocks Saturday, and he has 10 in his last four games. The 21-year-old is working to demonstrate that he's more than simply an offensive specialist. That's a work in progress, but so far, so good.

The 21-year-old blueliner looks set to compete with Jordan Spence all season for premium minutes. Clarke has done well early on with five assists, 13 shots on net and 14 blocked shots, but he also has a minus-1 rating and 12 PIM through eight contests. Taking too many penalties could lead to a reduced role.

Clarke notched three power-play assists in Monday's 8-7 overtime loss to the Senators.
The two teams combined for seven goals with the man advantage, and Clarke had a hand in all three of the Kings' power-play tallies to record his first points of the season. The 21-year-old blueliner worked on the top power-play unit Monday, and his big performance could allow him to hang onto that plum assignment as long as Drew Doughty (ankle) remains sidelined. Jordan Spence is Clarke's main competition for time with the man advantage.

Kings' Brandt Clarke: Gets into lineup, scores
Clarke scored a goal in Thursday's 5-1 win over the Canucks.
The Kings opted to play seven defensemen Thursday, with Clarke stepping in for forward Arthur Kaliyev. While it's a positive Clarke played after sitting out two games as a healthy scratch, he saw a meager 7:06 of ice time in the blowout win, as interim head coach Jim Hiller didn't alter his regular defense pairings much. It's fair to say Clarke has earned more time with two goals, four assists, 29 shots on net and 20 blocked shots over 13 appearances this season, especially with all but one of those points coming in his last seven outings. If the Kings go back to six defensemen Sunday versus the Devils, it's unclear which one of Clarke, Jordan Spence, Andreas Englund or Jacob Moverare will come out of the lineup.

Clarke has four points over his last four games, including a pair of power-play helpers. He took a stretch pass from Cam Talbot and fed Pierre-Luc Dubois on the Kings' second tally Tuesday. Clarke score the overtime winner and added an assist in Saturday's 5-4 victory over the Bruins.
The rookie blueliner was in the right place at the right time to score his first career NHL goal, stepping out of the penalty box and converting a breakaway on Linus Ullmark with just 27 seconds left in OT. Clarke is up to four points in eight games for the Kings this season, as he's had trouble keeping a regular spot in the lineup when he's been up with the big club. Saturday's performance could propel him into consistent ice time.

Clarke was recalled from AHL Ontario on Thursday, John Hoven of SiriusXM NHL Network Radioreports.
Clarke has been a stud in the minors with eight goals and 33 points in 32 contests, leading all AHL defensemen in points. The eighth overall pick in 2021, Clarke has one assist in six games with the Kings this season. He is expected to be an extra defenseman -- barring any injuries -- versus Edmonton on Saturday.
