Blue Jackets' Owen Sillinger: Waived Saturday
Sillinger (knee) was put on waivers by Columbus on Saturday.
Sillinger's inclusion on the waiver list indicates that he's recovered from his knee injury. The 28-year-old had 11 goals and 29 points in 44 regular-season outings with AHL Cleveland in 2024-25. Assuming he clears waivers, Sillinger is expected to report to Cleveland.

Blue Jackets' Owen Sillinger: Should be ready early in 2025-26
Sillinger (knee) is projected to be ready early in the 2025-26 campaign, but he isn't expected to take contact during training camp, per Aaron Portzline of The Athletic on Wednesday.
If Sillinger isn't taking contact, then that essentially rules him out for all of Columbus' seven preseason games. That limits his chances of making the Blue Jackets' Opening Night roster, but even if he starts the season in the minors, he might get a shot with the big club at some stage of the campaign. Sillinger had 11 goals and 29 points across 44 regular-season appearances with AHL Cleveland in 2024-25. The 27-year-old also played in his lone NHL game to date in Columbus' 6-2 win over Seattle on Jan. 9. He recorded two PIM, one hit and one block in 13:09 of ice time.

Blue Jackets' Owen Sillinger: Signs two-way agreement
Sillinger (knee) signed a one-year, two-way contract with Columbus on Tuesday.
Sillinger produced 11 goals and 18 assists in 44 regular-season appearances with AHL Cleveland in 2024-25. He sustained a knee injury late in the year but could be ready for training camp in the fall. Sillinger will probably spend most of the 2025-26 campaign in the minors.

Sillinger was placed on injured reserve Friday due to a season-ending knee injury.
Sillinger missed the last two games with AHL Cleveland after he was injured Feb. 11 against Rochester, and he'll be unavailable for the remainder of the season. He had 11 goals and 29 points over 40 AHL games and was held off the scoresheet in his lone NHL appearance this season.

Sillinger was recalled Thursday to take the place of Sean Monahan, who was placed on injured reserve with a wrist injury. Sillinger made his NHL debut against Seattle and played 13:09 with one hit and one blocked shot in a 6-2 loss.
