Blackhawks' Wyatt Kaiser: Searching for offense
Kaiser is in a 16-game point drought after failing to record a point in Tuesday's 3-2 loss to the Ducks.
Kaiser has been a regular in the Blackhawks' lineup after missing Opening Night due to an illness. He picked up an assist in his second game of the year, but it's been all zeroes in the scoring categories since. The 22-year-old has added 17 shots on net, 28 hits, 35 blocked shots, eight PIM and an even plus-minus rating over 18 appearances in a bottom-four role. For now, it looks like Nolan Allan and Louis Crevier will compete for the last spot in the lineup, but Kaiser could also be at risk of a scratch if he doesn't find a little offense.

Kaiser brought the physical play and got on the scoresheet by assisting Philipp Kurashev's goal in the first period. The 22-year-old Kaiser has four hits and eight blocks over two appearances this campaign after missing the season opener due to an illness. The blueliner offers a decent physical game, but with 11 helpers over 43 career appearances, his offense is modest at best.

Blackhawks' Wyatt Kaiser: Activated off injured reserve
Kaiser (illness) was taken off injured reserve Thursday.
Kaiser's activation saw Isaak Phillips sent down to AHL Rockford in a corresponding move. For his part, the 22-year-old Kaiser will need to edge out youngster Nolan Allan for a spot in the lineup against the Jets on Friday. If Kaiser does get into the lineup, he should offer decent mid-range fantasy value after racking up seven assists in 32 games last year.

Kaiser supplied a secondary assist in Friday's 4-3 overtime win over the Golden Knights.
This was the first point of the young season for Kaiser, who the Blackhawks took with the third round (81st overall) of the 2020 NHL Entry Draft. The 21-year-old defender has three shots on goal, 12 blocked shots and six hits through eight games this campaign.
