  • Kings' Alex Laferriere: Hands out two assists

Laferriere recorded two assists, three hits and two PIM in Thursday's 6-4 loss to the Oilers in Game 6. Laferriere was a little quiet in the playoffs, ending with three assists over six games against the Oilers. The 23-year-old winger added 10 shots on net, 20 hits, four blocked shots and a plus-1 rating. He made plenty of noise in the regular season with 19 goals and 42 points over 77 outings in his second campaign. He's a restricted free agent this summer coming off of his entry-level deal, and he's due a substantial raise as an emerging power forward in the Kings' middle six.

  • Kings' Alex Laferriere: Snags helper in loss

Laferriere notched an assist, three shots on goal, five hits and two blocked shots in Sunday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Oilers in Game 4. Laferriere picked up his first point of the playoffs with his helper on a Kevin Fiala tally in the second period. While he hasn't been scoring, Laferriere has added eight shots on net, 11 hits, four blocked shots and an even plus-minus rating over four playoff contests. The 23-year-old brings a physical element to the third line, and while his scoring chances may stay limited, he can contribute in a variety of ways.

Laferriere had a goal and two assists in a 5-4 win over the Avalanche on Saturday. It was Laferriere's first NHL three-point game, and he's up to six points (two goals, four assists) across his four-game scoring streak. Laferriere also has 184 shots and a plus-21 rating this season compared to 147 shots and a minus-14 rating last year. He continues to impress.

Laferriere (illness) is expected to be in the lineup Tuesday versus the Jets, Zach Dooley of the Kings' official site reports. Laferriere was officially a game-time decision, but he was able to get through warmups without an issue. The 23-year-old will resume his third-line role after a one-game absence. • Kings' Alex Laferriere: Game-time call Tuesday

Laferriere (illness) will be a game-time decision for Tuesday's matchup with Winnipeg after head coach Jim Hiller told reporters, "I hope he's good to go," per Zach Dooley of the Kings' official site. Laferriere will hope to return after just a one-game absence due to his ongoing illness. Prior to falling ill, the 23-year-old forward was finding his offensive stride with three points in his last five outings. If Laferriere does suit up, the Kings look set to return to a 12/6 delpoyment, with Jacob Moverare dropped from the lineup.

  • Kings' Alex Laferriere: First goal in 18 games

Laferriere scored the Kings' lone goal Saturday in a 3-1 loss to the Maple Leafs. He had six shots. Laferriere opened the scoring in the second period. He built up speed off the rush and blew past defender Simon Benoit wide before cutting back around the right circle to score on a backhand from the top of the crease. He has already established new career marks in goals (16), assists (19), points (35), shots (167), game-winning goals (four) and blocks (37). Laferriere is a couple of games from also setting a new career mark in hits (108; career-high 113).

  • Kings' Alex Laferriere: Helpers in consecutive contests

Laferriere registered an assist, two shots on goal and a plus-2 rating in Sunday's 7-2 win over the Bruins. Laferriere has a helper in two straight games, but he's gotten on the scoresheet in just four of 16 contests since the 4 Nations Face-Off break. All of those points have come in games where the Kings have scored at least five goals. The 23-year-old winger looks to be mostly a supporting scorer at this stage of the season, which makes him somewhat unreliable for fantasy managers. He's produced 15 goals, 19 helpers, 155 shots on net, 104 hits and a plus-15 rating over 65 appearances in a middle-six role.

Laferriere scored a goal on three shots in Saturday's 5-3 win over Utah. Laferriere's goal at 16:10 of the second period gave the Kings the lead for the first time in the game. For the season, he's up to 15 goals, 31 points, 122 shots on net, 85 hits and a plus-16 rating over 50 appearances. There's been no sophomore slump for Laferriere, who blends scoring and physicality into a fantasy-friendly production level in a balanced offensive lineup.

In addition to being ruled out for Monday's matchup, Laferriere is unlikely to play Wednesday against the Panthers, but he still appears to be trending in the right direction. Head coach Jim Hiller said Saturday that Laferriere was still "a ways off" from returning, but it seems possible that the 23-year-old will be in the mix to return as early as Saturday in Columbus.

Laferriere didn't participate in Wednesday's practice session, and he'll be forced to miss at least one game due to his injury. Laferriere collected two assists in Thursday's 7-3 win over the Flyers. • Kings' Alex Laferriere: Dishes two helpers in win

Laferriere notched two assists, three shots on goal, four hits and a plus-2 rating in Wednesday's 4-1 win over the Jets. Laferriere had gone six games without a point entering Wednesday. The winger bounced back in a big way amid a lineup shuffle that saw him start the contest on the fourth line. He helped out on Anze Kopitar's power-play tally in the first period and Phillip Danault's game-winner at even strength in the second. Laferriere is up to nine goals, eight helpers, 50 shots on net, 44 hits and a plus-7 rating across 23 appearances. He's six points shy of matching his total (23) from 81 regular-season outings as a rookie last year.

  • Kings' Alex Laferriere: Deals helper in Thursday's loss

Laferriere recorded an assist and two shots on goal in Thursday's 4-2 loss to the Canucks. Laferriere has two goals and three helpers over four contests in November. The winger helped out on a Quinton Byfield tally early in the first period of this game. Laferriere is up to 14 points, 35 shots on net, 25 hits and a plus-9 rating over 15 appearances. He's still got a lot to prove in terms of sustaining a near point-per-game pace, but he's definitely worth considering for fantasy.

Laferriere scored two goals, one on the power play, in Saturday's 4-3 shootout loss to Chicago. The 23-year-old did all the scoring through the first two periods, giving the Kings a 2-0 lead, but it was ultimately a bittersweet afternoon for Laferriere, as he was the only skater who failed to score in the shootout. He's found the back of the net in three straight games, and after scoring 12 goals in 81 regular-season contests as a rookie in 2023-24, Laferriere has already potted eight in the first 12 games of the current campaign. Saturday's power-play tally was the first of his NHL career.
