  • Blackhawks' Connor Bedard: Lights lamp twice again

Bedard scored two goals in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Panthers. Both goals were highlight-reel beauties. On the first, Bedard stole the puck from Kevin Stenlund in the offensive zone then flipped a no-look shot over Sergei Bobrovsky's shoulder. On the second, he collected a puck in the neutral zone, turned on the jets to get ahead of three Florida players coming over the boards on a line change, then beat Bobrovsky again to his glove side. Bedard is up to nine goals and 13 points through his first 13 NHL games, including four goals and six points in his last two. While the season is barely a month old, an injury is likely the only thing that could stop the 2023 first overall pick from bringing home a Calder Trophy.

  • Blackhawks' Connor Bedard: History-making performance

Bedard scored two goals and added two assists in a 5-3 win over the Lightning on Thursday. It was Bedard's first career multi-point NHL game. He's the youngest NHL player (18 years, 115 days old) since 1944 to have a four-point game and the third youngest in history. Bedard is also the youngest skater in Blackhawks history to record a multi-goal game. Welcome to the Connor Bedard show.

  • Blackhawks' Connor Bedard: Strikes early in loss

Bedard scored a goal on three shots and added two PIM in Monday's 8-1 loss to the Coyotes. Bedard's goal 28 seconds into the game gave the Blackhawks a positive start, but it ended up being a footnote in the blowout loss. The rookie center has three goals over his last four games. He's up to six points, 28 shots on net, seven hits, four PIM and a minus-5 rating through nine contests overall. He's on pace to top the 50-point mark, though there's likely another level to his game that he hasn't reached yet.

  • Blackhawks' Connor Bedard: Scores in home opener

Bedard scored a power-play goal in a 5-3 loss to Vegas on Saturday. Bedard (18 years, 96 days) became the second-youngest player in Blackhawks history to score in their home opener behind Eddie Olczyk (18 years, 56 days; Oct. 11, 1984). The only other teenagers in Chicago history to do the same were Stan Mikita (19 years, 140 days; Oct. 7, 1959) and John Harms (19 years, 187 days; Oct. 29, 1944). Bedard went top cheddar on the power play just 90 seconds into the game.
