Levshunov was reassigned to AHL Rockford on Wednesday.
Levshunov was only up with the big club to practice during the AHL's All-Star break. With Rockford getting ready to resume its season Friday, Levshunov will rejoin the minor-league team and continue his development. It's possible the 19-year-old makes his NHL debut later in the campaign.

Blackhawks' Artyom Levshunov: Called up from minors
Levshunov was elevated from AHL Rockford on Monday but is not expected to make his NHL debut, Mark Lazerus of The Athletic reports.
According to general manager Kyle Davidson, Levshunov's recall is intended to get him some NHL-level practice work while the AHL breaks for its All-Star game. The young blueliner will serve as an emergency depth option after Louis Crevier (concussion) was designated for IR but remains firmly behind Nolan Allan and Ethan Del Mastro for ice time.

Blackhawks' Artyom Levshunov: Heads to AHL
Levshunov (foot) was activated from the injured non-roster list and assigned to AHL Rockford on Tuesday.
Levshunov will make his AHL debut after recovering from a foot injury he sustained in September. Chicago selected him No. 2 overall in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft. The 18-year-old blueliner may get a look with the Blackhawks sometime during the 2024-25 campaign.

Levshunov (foot) was placed on season-opening injured reserve on Friday, Mario Tirabassi of CHGO Sports reports.
Levshunov has been skating during camp, but as expected, he won't be active by the start of the season. The 18-year-old defenseman is expected to play with AHL Rockford for most of 2024-25, and that's likely where he'll be assigned once he's healthy.

Levshunov (right foot) skated Friday in a non-contact jersey, according to Charlie Roumeliotis of NBC Sports Chicago.
It's the fourth day in a row that Levshunov has been on the ice in some capacity, a great sign for the highly-touted prospect. The 18-year-old almost certainly will not make Chicago's Opening Night roster, but he'll have every chance to develop his game with AHL Rockford when healthy. Levshunov produced 35 points and a plus-27 rating with Michigan State University in 2023-24.

Levshunov sustained a foot injury that will sideline him for the Blackhawks' prospect tournament, Mark Lazerus of The Athletic reports Wednesday.
Levshunov's injury could impact his ability to make the 23-man roster for Opening Night versus Utah on Oct. 8. With Michigan State last year, the 18-year-old blueliner garnered nine goals and 26 assists in 38 outings. Even if Levshunov makes the team out of training camp, he may still need time in the minors during parts of the 2024-25 campaign.
