  • Canucks' Quinn Hughes: Extends point streak in defeat

Hughes netted a goal on four shots in 20:18 of ice time in Sunday's 4-2 loss to the Lightning.

Hughes opened the scoring in the first period by beating Andrei Vasilevskiy on the backhand. The goal extended Hughes' point streak to seven games, a span in which he's accumulated three goals and 10 helpers. The 25-year-old's 20:18 of ice time was his second-lowest mark of the season, which is surprising, considering the game was tied late in the third period. Hughes is up to seven goals, 25 assists, 19 PIM, 84 shots on goal and a plus-9 rating through 26 contests. The star defenseman trails only Cale Makar for the league lead in points among blueliners.

  • Canucks' Quinn Hughes: Nets PP goal Tuesday

Hughes scored a power-play goal in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Wild.

Hughes found twine midway through the first period to give the Canucks the lead, but Vancouver was unable to hold on and ended up losing in overtime. Hughes remains highly productive, however, and he's been one of the most productive blueliners in the NHL over the last few weeks from a fantasy perspective. He's currently riding a five-game point streak and has cracked the scoresheet in eight of his last nine outings, racking up 13 points (three goals, 10 assists) in that span.

Hughes distributed a trio of assists Sunday in a 5-4 overtime win over the Red Wings.

Hughes had a pair of power-play helpers in the second period, and he notched the secondary assist on Jake DeBrusk's overtime game-winner. Hughes extended his point streak to four games, and he has three consecutive multi-point outings. • Canucks' Quinn Hughes: Back-to-back multi-point outings

Hughes collected two helpers Friday in a 4-3 overtime win over Buffalo.

Hughes has racked up one goal and four assists over the last two games. The all-world blueliner had all three Buffalo defenders looking his way in the offensive zone in overtime, and Hughes took advantage by dishing a tap-in to Conor Garland to seal the win. The 25-year-old Hughes has eight multi-point performances this season, and he now leads Vancouver in scoring by four points. Overall, the 2023-24 Norris Trophy winner is up to five goals, 20 assists and a plus-8 rating through 22 games.

  • Canucks' Quinn Hughes: Valiant performance in loss

Hughes lit the lamp and distributed two assists in Wednesday's 5-4 loss to Pittsburgh.

Hughes spearheaded Vancouver's comeback attempt that ultimately proved futile -- the left-shot blueliner registered a point on each of the Canucks' final three tallies. The 25-year-old added three shots, one block and a plus-2 rating in a team-high 27:35 of ice time. Hughes is carrying the load on offense for his club with a team-leading 23 points (five goals, 18 assists) through 21 games. The star defenseman has five more points than any of his teammates, and his world-class skating ability is the foundation of why Hughes is one of the most reliable fantasy options in the NHL.

  • Canucks' Quinn Hughes: Helps out on power play

Hughes notched a power-play assist and two shots on goal in Tuesday's 2-0 win over the Bruins.

Hughes helped out on Jake DeBrusk's second-period tally. The 25-year-old Hughes has gotten on the scoresheet in nine of 11 games in November, and one of the two exceptions was Saturday, when he was ejected for boarding in the first period against the Senators. That was a rare lapse for the defenseman, who makes much more of an impact on offense than he does with the body. He's at four goals, 16 helpers, eight power-play points, 68 shots on net, 20 blocked shots and a plus-4 rating through 20 appearances.

  • Canucks' Quinn Hughes: Ejected for boarding

Hughes received a game misconduct and five-minute major for boarding in the first period of Saturday's 4-3 win over Ottawa.

He drilled Josh Norris into the boards from behind. It wasn't a hard hit, but Norris was cut and left the game temporarily. The officials had no option but to issue a major on the play -- rule 41.5 issues an automatic game misconduct if "an injury to the face or head of the opponent" occurs on a boarding penalty. Hughes and Norris are close friends who played for the USNTDP and the University of Michigan. Still, a suspension is unlikely.

Hughes extended his point streak to four games (one goal, six helpers) when he assisted on a Pius Suter tally in the third period. It's the longest streak of the season for Hughes, who continues to put up elite offense from the blue line for the Canucks. The reigning Norris Trophy winner has 15 points (four on the power play), 49 shots on net, 17 blocked shots and a plus-6 rating through 13 outings this season.

  • Canucks' Quinn Hughes: One of each in win

Hughes scored a goal on two shots, dished an assist, added two PIM, blocked two shots and went plus-2 in Thursday's 4-2 win over the Kings.

Hughes' tally in the third period ended up being the game-winner, his first such goal this season. He's opened November with five points over three contests as the Canucks swept their road trip through California. Hughes is up to three goals, 11 assists, 45 shots on net, 15 blocked shots and a plus-8 rating over 12 outings. He averaged just under 2.5 shots per game in the 2023-24 regular season, but he's at 3.75 shots per game this season, which could help him sustain his elite offense despite a decline in efficiency.

  • Canucks' Quinn Hughes: Another productive showing

Hughes recorded a goal and an assist in Monday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Hurricanes.

Hughes has lacked consistency on a game-to-game basis, as the 25-year-old blueliner has four games with multiple points and four in which he wasn't able to contribute to the scoresheet. Three of those multi-point efforts have come across Vancouver's last five games, however, so it seems Hughes is trending in the right direction. He should continue to have plenty of opportunities to produce as a member of the top pairing and first power-play unit.
