  • Flyers' Egor Zamula: Avoids scoreless month

Zamula registered an assist in Saturday's 7-4 win over the Sabres. Zamula helped out on the first of two goals by Matvei Michkov in the contest. The helper was Zamula's first point in 14 games in March, and he's added 17 blocked shots and a minus-5 rating from the third pairing. The 25-year-old has had a steady role while Rasmus Ristolainen (upper body) has been sidelined. Zamula has mostly underwhelmed in 2024-25 with 15 points, 32 shots on net, 79 blocked shots and a minus-15 rating over 56 appearances, so most fantasy managers can do better for defensive depth.

  • Flyers' Egor Zamula: Secures helper in return

Zamula notched an assist in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Oilers. Zamula missed eight games due to an upper-body injury. He slotted back in on the third pairing and logged 15:45 of ice time. Zamula will need to play well -- head coach John Tortorella won't hesitate to insert a veteran blueliner, Erik Johnson, into the lineup if Zamula's performance is poor. For the season, Zamula has 12 points, 25 shots on net, 59 blocked shots and a minus-11 rating across 40 appearances.

  • Flyers' Egor Zamula: Available for Saturday

Zamula (upper body) is considered available to play Saturday versus the Oilers. It looks like Zamula will be officially activated from injured reserve prior to the contest. There's no guarantee he plays -- head coach John Tortorella may opt for a more veteran defensive group against the Oilers. In any case, Zamula should be in contention for bottom-four minutes moving forward.

  • Flyers' Egor Zamula: Placed on injured reserve

Zamula (upper body) was put on injured reserve Friday, per the NHL media site. Zamula has missed the last four games and is eligible to return at any time. The defenseman has three goals and eight assists with 59 blocked shots across 39 appearances this season.

  • Flyers' Egor Zamula: Expected to miss out Wednesday

Zamula (upper body) is not expected back in the lineup versus the Devils on Wednesday, per NHL.com. Zamula should likely be considered doubtful heading into Thursday's matchup with the Islanders as well given the back-to-back. The 24-year-old blueliner was stuck in an 11-game goal drought prior to getting hurt while generating just six shots and two helpers over that stretch.

  • Flyers' Egor Zamula: Not playing Monday

Zamula (upper body) won't play against New Jersey on Monday. Zamula will miss his second straight game. He has produced three goals, eight assists, 25 shots on net, 59 blocked shots and 15 hits through 39 appearances this season. Due to Zamula's absence, Erik Johnson will be in the lineup versus the Devils.

  • Flyers' Egor Zamula: Absence due to injury

Zamula (upper body) won't play Friday versus the Islanders. Zamula struggled with a minus-2 rating versus the Rangers on Friday, extending his point drought to five games. It appears he's sustained an injury that will cause him to miss at least one contest. Erik Johnson will draw into the lineup to replace Zamula on Friday.

  • Flyers' Egor Zamula: Collects assist Thursday

Zamula notched an assist and two shots on goal in Thursday's 4-1 loss to the Stars. Zamula has four points over his last eight outings. He's played better both on offense and defense lately, in part because he's playing alongside a shutdown defender in Rasmus Ristolainen. Zamula is at 10 points, 22 shots on net, 45 blocked shots and a minus-11 rating through 32 outings overall. He hasn't been in the power-play mix lately, so most fantasy managers can fade Zamula in the short term.

  • Flyers' Egor Zamula: First goal of season Saturday

Zamula scored a goal, recorded an assist and notched a plus-2 rating in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Sabres. Zamula scored his first goal of the season Saturday with a wrist shot just 2:08 into the second period. He also set up Travis Sanheim's goal in the first frame, allowing Zamula to record his first multi-point game of the campaign. Zamula wasn't very productive in the early stages of the season but has turned things around of late and is currently riding a three-game point streak.

  • Flyers' Egor Zamula: Slides helper in loss

Zamula provided an assist and went minus-2 in Wednesday's 6-3 loss to the Capitals. Zamula has two assists and a minus-10 rating through seven contests, and his defensive struggles could eventually cost him a spot in the lineup. The defenseman has added seven shots on net, six hits and 12 blocked shots. He's seen power-play time but plays on the third pairing at even strength, though head coach John Tortorella may get more reliable defense from veteran Erik Johnson.

  • Flyers' Egor Zamula: Garners assist Tuesday

Zamula recorded an assist, two hits and two blocked shots in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Oilers. Zamula has played in all three games this season -- he was a frequent healthy scratch in 2023-24. His helper Tuesday was his first point of 2024-25, to go with three shots on net, eight blocked shots and a minus-4 rating. Zamula's best path to fantasy relevance is through his power-play time, as he earned nine of his 21 points with the man advantage last year.

  • Flyers' Egor Zamula: Solid in first full season

Zamula recorded five goals, 16 assists and nine power-play points in 66 regular-season games this year. Zamula finally was able to crack the Flyers' roster as a full-time player this season after having previously logged just 26 games over the prior three campaigns. The 24-year-old blueliner will need a new contract this summer but, as a restricted free agent, should be back in the fold ahead of training camp in the fall. If he can maintain or increase his role with the man advantage, Zamula should be capable of pushing for the 35-40 point mark next season.

  • Flyers' Egor Zamula: Not playing Saturday

Zamula (illness) won't play Saturday versus the Lightning. Zamula was also absent from the morning skate, but the Flyers didn't make a roster move for an extra defenseman. Instead, they appear set to dress 13 forwards and five blueliners against the Lightning. Zamula should be considered day-to-day ahead of Tuesday's game versus the Sharks.

  • Flyers' Egor Zamula: Healthy scratch Saturday

Zamula will be watching Saturday's game versus Seattle from the press box, Jordan Hall of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports. Coach John Tortorella had been using Zamula as an extra blueliner recently, but the Flyers will go with a more traditional lineup Saturday with Nicolas Deslauriers playing alongside Scott Laughton and Garnet Hathaway. Zamula has five goals and 15 points in 42 games this season. He has been a fantasy asset in deeper leagues this season thanks to his six power-play points and 50 blocked shots.

  • Flyers' Egor Zamula: Expected to play Tuesday

Zamula (illness) is likely to play in Tuesday's game versus the Panthers, Jackie Spiegel of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Zamula missed the last contest before the All-Star break while ill, but the 23-year-old is apparently fine to return after just the one absence. The Flyers are expected to roll seven defensemen Tuesday, though Zamula figures to see power-play time even if he doesn't get a regular shift at even strength.

  • Flyers' Egor Zamula: Dealing with illness

Zamula (illness) won't play Saturday against Boston. Zamula has produced five goal, 15 points, 40 shots on net and 46 blocked shots in 40 games this season. Rasmus Ristolainen will replace Zamula in the lineup versus the Bruins.

  • Flyers' Egor Zamula: Career game in Sunday's loss

Zamula produced two goals, one on the power-play, and a power-play assist in Sunday's 5-3 loss to the Senators. The 23-year-old blueliner has suddenly become a threat for the Flyers. Zamula came into the season with just four points, all assists, in 26 career NHL games, but he's racked up four goals and 11 points over the last 15 contests, including all six of his career points with the man advantage (two goals, four helpers). Philadelphia has rotated through a number of defensemen on its top power-play unit, so Zamula could lose his spot to Jamie Drysdale or Cam York at some point, but for the moment, he's delivering enough offense to be worth a roster spot in nearly all fantasy formats.

  • Flyers' Yegor Zamula: Scores twice in WJC opener

Zamula scored twice in Russia's 4-3 loss to the Czech Republic in the opening game of the 2020 IIHF World Junior Championship on Thursday. Not bad for an undrafted free agent. The Russians have rarely taken CHL players to the tournament the past many years, but Zamula -- who plays for WHL Calgary -- was simply too good to pass up. The big rearguard has seven goals and 28 points in 28 games for the Hitmen this season. Zamula signed with the Flyers as an undrafted free agent in September 2018.
