Crosby scored a goal in the Penguins' 2-1 overtime loss to Philadelphia on Monday. Crosby gave the Penguins a 1-0 lead late in the first period, but Pittsburgh never built off that edge. It was his 15th marker and 26th point in 24 contests this season. Even at the age of 36, Crosby can still be counted among the league's top forwards. It is worth cautioning, though, that Crosby has been working through a colder patch recently, providing three goals and four points over his last eight outings.... See More ... See Less

Penguins' Sidney Crosby: Among NHL goal leaders
Crosby scored a goal Thursday in a 4-2 win over the Lightning. He pushed the score to 2-1 in the second period when he wired a shot from the left faceoff circle that beat Andrei Vasilevskiy high on the short side. Crosby now has 14 goals (25 points) in 22 games. And he's done it almost entirely 5v5 -- just two of his goals and one assist have come on the power play. The Penguins have been painful to watch on the power play -- they've been passive and ineffective, and among the NHL's worst. If they can figure out that mess, Crosby's output will surely climb. As it stands, he's in a three-way tie with Kyle Connor and Auston Matthews for fourth on the NHL goal list.... See More ... See Less -
Penguins' Sidney Crosby: Knocks in 13th goal
Crosby scored a goal in Friday's 3-2 road loss against the Sabres. Crosby ended up with five shots on goal and a hit in his 19:14 of ice time across 24 shifts. He also won 17 of his 32 faceoff attempts. Sid the Kid snapped a season-high, two-game scoreless skid with the goal. His five shots were the most he's had since he was credited with 11 on Oct. 30 against Anaheim. Crosby is up to eight goals, 13 points and a plus-13 rating through 10 November appearances.... Penguins' Sidney Crosby: Climbing all-time ranks
Crosby scored both Penguins goals in a 4-2 loss to the Hurricanes on Saturday. Crosby's backhand goals are epic, and Saturday was no exception. Both of his snipes came off the back of his stick, fooling Antti Raanta both times. Crosby is on an 11-game, 17-point scoring streak that includes nine goals. And he's been held off the scoresheet just once this season (16 games). With the goals, Crosby moved past Guy Lafleur (560) and Mike Modano (561) into 26th on the all-time NHL goal list with 562. Given his pace, Sid is likely to move past Mats Sundin (564), Joe Nieuwendyk (564), Patrick Marleau (566), Mike Bossy (573) and Mark Recchi (577) this season.... See More ... See Less -
Penguins' Sidney Crosby: Streak at 10 games, 15 points
Crosby picked up an assist Thursday in a 5-2 loss to the Devils. Crosby extended his point streak to 10 games and 15 points (seven goals, eight assists) with a secondary helper on Bryan Rust's second-period goal. Sid has 20 points in 15 games this season, which puts him in a five-way tie for 14th in the NHL. At 36, Crosby remains an elite fantasy option and is on track for his first 100-point season since 2018-19.... See More ... See Less -
Penguins' Sidney Crosby: Posts 16th career hat trick
Crosby scored three goals, including the game-winner, and added an assist in Tuesday's 5-3 win over the Blue Jackets. After opening the scoring early in the first period, Crosby waited until the final six minutes of the third to complete his 16th career hat trick, tipping home an Erik Karlsson shot before potting an empty-netter later. Crosby extended his point streak to nine games in the process, a stretch in which he's racked up seven goals and 14 points, and assuming he can stay as healthy as he did last season, he's currently on pace for his first 50-goal season since 2009-10 and his best point total since 2006-07 -- not bad for a 36-year-old.... Penguins' Sidney Crosby: Eight-game, 10-point streak
Crosby had an assist Saturday in a 4-0 win over the Sabres. It was a secondary helper on Erik Karlsson's second goal. It extended Crosby's point streak to eight games (four goals, six assists). And he has at least one point in 12 of 13 games this season (seven goals, eight assists). Sid is Sid, and he's not slowing down.... See More ... See Less -

For the season, the 36-year-old has six goals, 12 points, 44 shots on net, 11 hits and a plus-3 rating through 11 appearances.... See More ... See Less -
Penguins' Sidney Crosby: Generates helper in big win
Crosby notched an assist, two PIM and a plus-4 rating in Saturday's 10-2 win over the Sharks. Crosby's point streak is up to five games (two goals, four helpers) after he set up a Kris Letang tally. The 36-year-old Crosby has been on the scoresheet in nine of 10 contests this season, producing five goals, six assists, 40 shots on net, 11 hits and a plus-2 rating. He's added eight PIM and 11 hits, continuing to provide some modest physical play in addition to his elite offense.... See More ... See Less -
Penguins' Sidney Crosby: Earns assist versus Ducks
Crosby recorded an assist against Anaheim on Monday but couldn't score despite 11 shots. Last season, Crosby never topped the nine-shot mark but was doing whatever he could to try to secure a victory over the Ducks. While the team is slumping and struggling to secure wins, Crobsy continues to produce and is riding a four-game point streak. In fact, Crosby has registered a point in all but one of Pittsburgh's nine games this season.... See More ... See Less -
Penguins' Sidney Crosby: Three-game, four-point streak
Crosby scored a goal and added an assist in a 5-2 loss to the Senators on Saturday. Crosby chipped a deflection past Joonas Korpisalo with 2:26 left in the second period to make the score 3-1. It was the Penguins' 31st shot. The 36-year-old superstar is on a three-game, four-point (two goals, two assists) streak, and has nine points, including five goals, in eight games. That ties him with Evgeni Malkin and Jake Guentzel for the team lead.... See More ... See Less -
Penguins' Sidney Crosby: Ends goal drought
Crosby scored a goal on four shots in a 4-0 win over Colorado on Thursday. Crosby brought his four-game goalless streak to a close with Thursday's tally. The world-class center's slump certainly wasn't from a lack of trying, as he has recorded at least three shots on goal in each of the first seven matches of the season. Even with the goal drought, Crosby has earned a point in all but one of those seven outings.... See More ... See Less -
Penguins' Sidney Crosby: Generates helper in loss
Crosby logged an assist and three shots on goal in Wednesday's 6-3 loss to the Red Wings. Crosby extended his season-opening point streak to four games when he set up Erik Karlsson's third-period tally. The 36-year-old Crosby has three goals and two helpers to go with 15 shots on net, four hits and a plus-1 rating so far this season. He put up 33 goals and 93 points in 82 contests last season, and he's showing no signs of decline to begin 2023-24.... See More ... See Less -
Penguins' Sidney Crosby: Scores two goals on man advantage
Crosby netted a pair of power-play goals in Friday's 4-0 road win against the Capitals. The pride of Nova Scotia has managed three goals in the first two games of the new campaign. The future Hall of Famer is showing that he still has plenty left in the tank at 36 years of age. He'll look to extend his goal-scoring streak Saturday when the Flames pay a visit to the Steel City.... See More ... See Less -
Penguins' Sidney Crosby: Scores first of the season
Crosby scored a goal on three shots in the Penguins' 4-2 defeat to the Blackhawks on Tuesday. The captain scored his first of the season by firing a puck past Petr Mrazek when he was out of position to give the Penguins a 2-0 lead. This would be all the offense Pittsburgh would muster up as they would drop a 4-2 contest by the end. Crosby is looking to start another strong campaign after posting 33 goals and 93 points last season.... See More ... See Less -
Penguins' Sidney Crosby: Two helpers in OT loss
Crosby collected two power-play assists in Thursday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Blue Jackets. Both goals gave Pittsburgh the lead, but it was all the offense they could muster the night after being officially eliminated from the playoffs. Crosby wraps up his 18th NHL season with 33 goals and 93 points in 82 games, the first time he's played a full schedule since 2017-18. Even at 35 years old, the future Hall of Famer still has plenty left in the tank.... See More ... See Less -

Crosby scored two goals, one the game-winner and the other on the power play, and added an even-strength assist in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Red Wings. His second goal of the game was a historic one, as it gave Crosby his 1,500th career point, making him the 15th player in NHL history to reach that lofty plateau.
