Sabres' Jordan Greenway: Supplies helper Tuesday
Greenway notched an assist, four hits, five PIM and a plus-2 rating in Tuesday's 5-1 win over the Senators.
Greenway fought Brady Tkachuk in the first period of what ended up being a chippy game. In the third, Greenway set up Bowen Byram's second goal of the game as the Sabres ran away to the win. The assist was Greenway's first point in six games since he returned from a lower-body injury. He has five points, 18 shots on net, 28 hits, 15 blocked shots, 11 PIM and a plus-4 rating over 12 appearances, but it's not unusual for his offense to get streaky as he plays in a third-line role.

Luukkonen will protect the home goal versus the Senators on Tuesday, Heather Engel of NHL.com reports.

Sabres' Zach Benson: Might play Tuesday
Benson (lower body) is a "possibility" to suit up against the Senators on Tuesday according to head coach Lindy Ruff, Lance Lysowski of The Buffalo News reports.
Benson should effectively be considered a game-time call to face Ottawa. In order to play, the 19-year-old will need to be activated off injured reserve, which will be the clear indicator for fantasy managers that Benson is playing. If he does remain on the shelf, look for Jiri Kulich to continue slotting into a second-line role.

Sabres' Alex Tuch: Strikes for shortie Saturday
Tuch scored a shorthanded goal in Saturday's 2-1 loss to the Red Wings.
The 28-year-old winger opened the scoring midway through the first period by picking the pocket of Dylan Larkin in the neutral zone and then beating Cam Talbot on the ensuing breakaway. It was all the offense the Sabres could muster, however. Tuch is still looking for his first power-play point of the season despite a regular spot on the first unit, but two of his four goals through 12 games have come on the penalty kill -- the first time in his career he's scored multiple shorties in a season.

Sabres' Dylan Cozens: Finds first goal of season
Cozens scored a power-play goal, added three hits and logged two PIM in Friday's 4-3 loss to the Islanders.
Cozens opened the season with no points over five games. His offense has started to come around, but he hadn't scored until his opening tally 9:03 into Friday's game. He's collected four points, 33 shots on net, 22 hits, 16 PIM and a minus-3 rating through 11 contests overall. Given Cozens has maintained a healthy shot volume, his struggles appear to be simply bad luck rather than poor performance, and he remains in a spot to succeed on the second line and first power-play unit.
