Lyon made 16 saves in a 3-2 shootout win over Toronto on Saturday.
Lyon has won five games in a row, and he's 16-2-0 in his last 18 appearances. He has a 19-8-3 record with a 2.62 GAA, a .913 save percentage and two shutouts this season. Lyon has been superb, but he will probably continue to rotate starts with Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen down the stretch.

Power is on a modest three-game, three-point scoring streak (one goal, two assists), and he has seven points (three goals, four assists) in his last eight outings. Power doesn't get power-play opportunities, and that has curtailed his offensive output. Overall, he has 24 points (seven goals, 17 assists) in 66 games after delivering 40 points, including 33 assists, in 79 appearances in the 2024-25 regular season. Sabres' Jack Quinn: Clutch performance in win

Quinn's goal came on the power play; it tied the game 2-2. Lyon has gone 18-8-3 with a pair of shutouts, a 2.65 GAA and a .913 save percentage across 31 appearances this season. The Maple Leafs will be missing their star center Auston Matthews, who is gone for the remainder of the season with a knee injury. Toronto is averaging 3.15 goals per game this season, good for 15th in the NHL.

It was the first regulation loss for the 27-year-old netminder since Jan. 19, and over five starts since the Olympic break Luukkonen has posted a solid 2.63 GAA and .910 save percentage.
