Oilers' Drake Caggiula: Sent to minors
Caggiula was reassigned to AHL Bakersfield on Wednesday.
Caggiula has one assist in seven outings with Edmonton in 2024-25. He also has five goals, nine points and 17 PIM in 12 appearances with Bakersfield. Caggiula's reassignment might be an indication that Zach Hyman (undisclosed) is expected to return Thursday versus Columbus, but Edmonton still has time to recall Caggiula or another forward if it turns out Hyman won't be available.

Oilers' Troy Stecher: Can't finish contest
Stecher suffered an apparent ear injury when he was struck by a puck in the third period of Tuesday's game versus the Golden Knights, Daniel Nugent-Bowman of The Athletic reports.
Stecher finished the game at 12:32 of ice time with a hit and two blocked shots. It doesn't sound like there's a ton of concern over Stecher's injury, but it's not a guarantee he's in the lineup Thursday versus the Blue Jackets. If he misses time, Travis Dermott would draw into the lineup.

Oilers' Stuart Skinner: Strong but lacks support in loss
Skinner stopped 15 of 16 shots in Tuesday's 1-0 loss to the Golden Knights.
Skinner took the hard-luck loss here, as the Oilers couldn't get any of their 28 shots past Adin Hill. The 26-year-old Skinner has gone 3-2-0 with 11 goals allowed over his last five starts, finding more steady play between the pipes after a tumultuous first month of the campaign. The Edmonton native is 8-7-2 with a 2.97 GAA and an .889 save percentage through 17 starts this season. The Oilers will look to regroup at home Thursday versus another team that got shut out Tuesday, the Blue Jackets.

Oilers' Zach Hyman: Won't play Tuesday
Hyman (undisclosed) will not be an option for Tuesday's divisional showdown against the Golden Knights, Daniel Nugent-Bowman of The Athletic reports.
Hyman will miss his fifth consecutive contest due to the injury. The right-shot winger was reported as being 5-8 days away from a return to the lineup Nov. 25, so he could be an option for Thursday's game against Columbus if his timeline hasn't changed. Kasperi Kapanen will likely continue to fill a top-six role in place of Hyman.

Oilers' Stuart Skinner: Patrolling crease against Knights
Skinner will be in goal on the road versus Vegas on Tuesday, Mark Spector of Sportsnet reports.
Skinner has been inconsistent over his last five outings, giving up four or more goals in two of those contests while allowing two or fewer in the other three. Overall, the 26-year-old netminder went 3-1-1 over that stretch with an .899 save percentage. Emberson is up to two assists this season, both of which he's earned over the last 10 games. The 24-year-old defenseman hasn't taken a step forward on offense, and his 19:56 of ice time Saturday was his most in a game since Opening Night. Stecher has earned a helper in three straight contests. That's all of his offense through 20 games this season, and he's added 20 shots on net, 23 blocked shots, 14 hits, nine PIM and a minus-3 rating. Stecher is holding onto a bottom-four role for now, as Travis Dermott hasn't been given much of a chance to challenge for his spot in the lineup.

Skinner was not good in November, racking up just three points over 13 contests. He's now at eight points, 65 shots on net, a minus-9 rating and 18 hits through 24 appearances, most often playing in a third-line role. Skinner's 6.2 shooting percentage suggests there's some bad luck at play, but he's often had full seasons where his luck doesn't correct course. He's a player to fade in fantasy unless he finds himself back in the top six on a regular basis.

Brown failed to score a goal over the last nine games of November, but he had four assists and 10 shots on net in that span. The 30-year-old defensive winger is up to eight points, 42 shots on net, 13 blocked shots and a plus-2 rating over 24 outings this season. He's been playing on the second line at even strength, and while his offense has improved in that role, he'll likely slip down the lineup once Viktor Arvidsson (undisclosed) or Zach Hyman (undisclosed) return.

Bouchard didn't earn a multi-point effort, but he has collected two goals and six helpers over his last five outings. The 25-year-old defenseman helped out on Ryan Nugent-Hopkins' empty-netter Saturday. Bouchard is up to 18 points, 63 shots on net, 43 blocked shots and a plus-4 rating through 24 appearances. He's got some work to do to get back to a point-per-game pace as he enjoyed last year, but he should still be among the highest-scoring blueliners for fantasy purposes.

McDavid extended his point streak to five games (five goals, five assists) with a helper on Kasperi Kapanen's first goal as an Oiler. McDavid is up to 31 points, 79 shots on net, 16 hits, eight PIM and a plus-5 rating through 21 appearances. The 27-year-old superstar has the fewest games played this season of any top-25 scorer, and a big surge at any point in time could help him cover ground in the Art Ross race.

Kulak posted six points over 13 contests in November. That constitutes a pretty good month for a defenseman who isn't known for his scoring. This season, he has five goals -- one shy of his career high -- and nine points through 24 outings, and he's added 39 shots on net, 29 blocked shots and a plus-2 rating. Kulak's on pace to challenge for his first 30-point campaign, but he's also shooting 12.8 percent, which is more than twice as efficient as his next best season, so the bottom could fall out at any time.
