Noesen (rest) participated in Friday's practice session and should be available for Sunday's Game 1 against Carolina, Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site reports.

Noesen missed two of the last three games of the regular season due to rest purposes, but he should return to the ice for the start of the playoffs. He racked up 22 goals, 19 assists, 152 hits and 54 PIM while averaging 15:56 of ice time over 78 regular-season appearances.

  • Devils' Luke Hughes: Back in lineup

Hughes (rest) will return to action for Game 1 in Carolina on Sunday, per Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site.

The Devils rested all their top players Wednesday against Detroit as the game was meaningless as far as the regular season was concerned. Hughes had seven goals and 37 assists in 71 regular-season contests this season. He will likely be demoted to the second power play during the playoffs as Dougie Hamilton (lower body) returned to the lineup Wednesday after missing 18 games.

Kovacevic (rest) practiced Friday and should be ready for Sunday's Game 1 against Carolina, Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site reports.

  • Devils' Dawson Mercer: Scores in season-ending loss

Mercer scored a goal in Wednesday's 5-2 loss to the Red Wings.

Mercer finished the season having found the back of the net in this last two games. The 23-year-old center has yet to miss a regular-season game in his four-year NHL career, but he failed to reach the 40-point plateau for the second consecutive campaign. He recorded 19 goals, 17 assists, 141 shots, 41 hits and 60 blocked shots during the regular season.

  • Devils' Erik Haula: Scores, assists vs. Detroit

Haula recorded a power-play goal and an even-strength assist in Wednesday's 5-2 loss to the Red Wings.

Haula ended the regular season in style and posted his first multi-point game since notching a goal and an assist in a 3-1 win over the Flyers on March 9.
