Tolvanen logged a power-play assist and seven hits in Friday's 3-2 loss to the Devils.
Tolvanen has four points and 21 hits over his last six outings. He set up a Shane Wright tally in the second period of Friday's game. Tolvanen is up to 10 points, 42 shots on net, 68 hits, 18 blocked shots and a minus-1 rating over 28 appearances. He's in a third-line role with power-play time, and his physical play could earn him some looks in deeper formats.

Kraken's Andre Burakovsky: Scores in return to lineup
Burakovsky scored a goal in Friday's 3-2 loss to the Devils.
Burakovsky didn't step on the ice in Seattle's previous two games, but he found twine in his return to a top-six role. The 29-year-old has scored just two goals, 10 points and 34 shots in 26 appearances this season. He did record an impressive 74 goals and 189 points across 240 regular-season outings from 2019-20 through 2022-23, which amounts to an average of roughly 65 points per 82 games, but he had just 16 points in 49 outings in 2023-24 and doesn't seem to be rekindling his old offensive prowess this campaign.

Kraken's Shane Wright: Scores in loss to New Jersey
Wright scored a power-play goal in Friday's 3-2 loss to the Devils.
Wright has found the back of the net on the power play with each of his last four goals, and those have come in a four-game span, so there's no question the 20-year-old is making a strong case for a more prominent role. Since being scratched for three straight games from Nov. 17-23, Wright has turned things around with five goals and seven points across seven appearances.

Kraken's Philipp Grubauer: Woeful season continues Friday
Grubauer stopped 33 of 36 shots in Friday's 3-2 loss to the Devils.
Grubauer has made nine starts this season, but the results haven't been encouraging for the 33-year-old German netminder. He has dropped his last six starts over a stretch from Oct. 22-Dec. 6, posting a 3.81 GAA and a disappointing .867 save percentage amid that losing skid. On the season, the 13-year veteran has gone 1-8-0 with a 3.56 GAA and an .870 save percentage.

Kraken's Ryker Evans: Set to return
Evans (hand) will be in the lineup Friday versus the Devils, per Sound of Hockey.
Evans missed two games with the injury. The 22-year-old defenseman was rolling prior to the issue, racking up five helpers over his previous four games. Evans will play on the third pairing and should also see time on the second power-play unit, while Josh Mahura will sit as a healthy scratch.
