  • Hockey Club's Robert Bortuzzo: Puts up helper in win

Bortuzzo notched an assist, two hits, two blocked shots and two PIM in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Flyers.

Bortuzzo has two helpers over his last five games. The 35-year-old blueliner didn't have steady playing time in November, but he's suited up in six straight contests to help cover the absence of Maveric Lamoureux (upper body). Bortuzzo is now at two helpers, six shots on net, 20 hits, 24 blocked shots, 22 PIM and a minus-2 rating through 14 appearances in 2024-25. He is likely to remain in a third-pairing role.

  • Hockey Club's Jack McBain: Manages helper Sunday

McBain notched an assist and six hits in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Flyers.

McBain has a point in each of the last two games after going three contests without a point. The 24-year-old's been decent on offense for much of the last month, earning him a spot on the second line after he began the year firmly in a fourth-line role. He's up to nine goals, four helpers, 22 shots on net, 84 hits, 39 PIM and a plus-9 rating over 27 appearances, putting McBain on track for a career year on offense.

  • Hockey Club's Mikhail Sergachev: Generates helper in win

Sergachev notched an assist, two shots on goal, three blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Flyers.

Sergachev has been pretty consistent lately with three goals and three helpers over his last eight games. The defenseman's last multi-point effort was Oct. 30 versus the Flames, but it's tough to complain about his steady play. For the season, he's at 18 points, 46 shots on net, 48 blocked shots, 16 PIM, 18 hits and a plus-6 rating through 27 appearances in a top-pairing role.

  • Hockey Club's Dylan Guenther: Helps out on power play

Guenther notched a power-play assist and two shots on goal in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Flyers.

Guenther has three helpers over his last five games, but he hasn't scored in that span. The 21-year-old winger is up to 23 points (10 on the power play), 65 shots on net and a plus-9 rating through 27 appearances. He's been a breakout star for Utah so far, and while his goal-scoring pace has cooled, he remains on track for a 30-goal campaign and could push close to the 70-point mark at his current rate.

  • Hockey Club's Clayton Keller: Registers power-play helper

Keller notched an assist and three shots on goal in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Flyers.

Keller has a helper in each of the last two contests. His goal-scoring has been quiet lately with just one tally over his last 12 games, but he's added 10 assists, including four on the power play, in that span. The winger is now at 24 points (six on the power play), 64 shots on net and a plus-1 rating through 27 outings overall while filling his usual top-line role.

  • Hockey Club's Juuso Valimaki: Lights lamp Sunday

Valimaki scored a goal and blocked two shots in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Flyers.

Valimaki earned his second point over the last five games by scoring in the second period Sunday. The 26-year-old has seen steady playing time since Maveric Lamoureux (upper body) exited the lineup. Utah has three injured blueliners, and they're all at least a month away from a return, so Valimaki has a chance to carve out a role for himself. He's produced two points, 20 shots on net, 21 blocked shots and a minus-2 rating across 21 appearances in 2024-25, playing in a bottom-four role.

  • Hockey Club's Michael Carcone: Pots goal in victory

Carcone scored a goal on two shots and went plus-2 in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Flyers.

Carcone has two goals and an assist over his last four contests. The 28-year-old remains in a fourth-line role, but he's starting to show flashes of the productivity that made him an intriguing waiver-wire add in fantasy in 2023-24. He's now at two goals, five points, 36 shots on net, 19 PIM and a plus-3 rating over 17 appearances this season.

  • Hockey Club's Kevin Stenlund: Ices win with shortie

Stenlund scored a shorthanded goal and went plus-2 in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Flyers.

Stenlund gave Utah some breathing room late in the third period. He entered the weekend with no goals over his previous 22 contests, then scored in back-to-back games. Stenlund's at six points, 36 shots on net, 22 hits, 18 blocked shots, 10 PIM and a minus-5 rating through 27 appearances. He's proven effective as a fourth-line center who can kill penalties, but he doesn't often generate enough offense for fantasy interest.

  • Hockey Club's Logan Cooley: Strikes on power play

Cooley scored a power-play goal on four shots and went plus-2 in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Flyers.

Cooley's goal at 15:30 of the second period stood as the game-winner. The center has four goals and six assists over his last eight contests, with four of those points coming on the power play. The 20-year-old is having an excellent sophomore campaign, racking up seven goals, 22 points (five on the power play), 57 shots on net and a plus-9 rating through 27 appearances.

  • Hockey Club's Jaxson Stauber: Picks up win in second start

Stauber turned aside 22 of 24 shots in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Flyers.

Stauber has won both of his games this season, the first being a shutout win over the Golden Knights on Nov. 30. The 25-year-old Stauber won't see much playing time since Karel Vejmelka has played well in the absence of Connor Ingram (upper body). Still, Stauber appears to be a reliable streaming option for whenever he might get the nod. Utah plays just four times over the next 10 days, so he's unlikely to see more than one start in that span, and he may not see any since he's played only in back-to-back situations so far.

  • Hockey Club's Jaxson Stauber: Starting Sunday

Stauber will guard the road net Sunday against the Flyers, Adam Kimelman of NHL.com reports.

Stauber will get the starting nod for Utah in the second leg of a back-to-back. The 25-year-old netminder has made just one NHL appearance this season, turning aside 29 shots in a shutout victory over Vegas.

  • Hockey Club's Olli Maatta: Earns assist in win

Maatta notched an assist, two shots on goal, three blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Sabres.

Maatta led the team with 23:18 of ice time in the contest. He has three helpers over his last four games, and while that scoring pace is unlikely to last, his value to Utah's battered defense has been immense. For the season, the Finnish blueliner has three helpers, 12 shots on net, 44 blocked shots and a plus-7 rating over 23 appearances between Utah and Detroit.

  • Hockey Club's Michael Carcone: Sends helper in win

Carcone notched an assist and two shots on goal in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Sabres.

Carcone has a goal and an assist over his last three games. The 28-year-old didn't have any luck early in the season, but he's starting to stabilize in a fourth-line role and getting some power-play time has helped. Carcone has four points, 34 shots on net, 19 PIM, 11 hits and a plus-1 rating over 16 appearances.

  • Hockey Club's Alex Kerfoot: Adds two assists in win

Kerfoot notched two assists in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Sabres.

Kerfoot helped out on tallies by Mikhail Sergachev and Kevin Stenlund on Saturday. Over his last seven outings, Kerfoot has three goals and three assists from a fourth-line role, though he continues to play more minutes than his place in the lineup would suggest. He's at 11 points, 40 shots on net, 18 blocked shots and a plus-2 rating over 26 appearances while averaging 15:57 of ice time.

  • Hockey Club's Mikhail Sergachev: Tickles twine in win

Sergachev scored a goal and registered three blocks Saturday in a 5-2 win over the Sabres.

It was his seventh goal of the season in just 26 games. Sergachev's career mark is 10, which he has done twice, most recently in 2022-23. The defender is no longer a hit machine like he was in his best years in Tampa Bay, but he's on pace to block almost 150 shots while topping 50 points. Sergachev is a cornerstone in Utah and on fantasy squads.

  • Hockey Club's Kevin Stenlund: Snaps 22-game goal drought

Stenlund scored a goal in Saturday's 5-2 win over Buffalo.

Stenlund scored in Utah's third game of 2024-25 and went 22 appearances before getting his second tally in Saturday's victory. Stenlund does a little bit of everything but not enough of anything on Utah's fourth line to make him worthy of fantasy attention.

  • Hockey Club's Jack McBain: Gets ninth goal of season

McBain scored a goal Saturday in a 5-2 win over the Sabres.

McBain has been delivering points at a career-high pace while skating on Utah's second line with Logan Cooley and Dylan Guenther. Now, it's safe to say that his goal pace will cool -- McBain has nine goals on 21 shots, a 42.9 percent success rate. Still, he has put up 26 points in each of his last two seasons while in lesser roles, and he already has 12 points in 26 games. A mid-30s point total and close to 250 hits make McBain a decent fantasy play in deeper formats.

  • Hockey Club's Nick Schmaltz: Three-game, four-goal streak

Schmaltz scored a goal in Saturday's 5-2 win over Buffalo.

He had a goal overturned for goalie interference in the first period that would have opened the scoring. Schmaltz then put Utah up 3-1 at the end of the second frame. He was in tight and Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen stoned him with an acrobatic save, only to leave the rebound right there for Schmaltz to push in the net. The goal stood as the winner. Schmaltz is on a three-game goal streak (four goals) after starting the season on a 23-game goalless skid. He's on a 60-plus point pace, which is more than fantasy-worthy.

  • Hockey Club's Karel Vejmelka: Great ratios opening eyes

Kejmelka made 23 saves in a 5-2 win over Buffalo on Saturday.

He was beaten early on a redirection and late on a rebound. Other than that, Vejmelka shut the door. He doesn't have a lot of wins this season -- he's just 4-7-1 overall -- but Vejmelka sports a 2.35 GAA and a .917 save percentage despite that record. Connor Ingram (upper body) isn't close to a return, so the net is Vejmelka's. Given his strong play, it wouldn't be surprising to see Vejmelka push Ingram for starts once the veteran returns.
